Great house with all the amenities

July 30, 2014

We stayed at the property for 2 days. All the necessary amenitites were provided there. We did barbeque, camp fire etc. The house was at a convenient location and was very neat and clean. The house surpassed our expectations and we had great fun staying there. Infact the house is much better than the pictures shown on the site. Will definitely recommend this to everyone. Owner of the house Marina is very friendly and she promptly replied to all my queries. The only issue we found was to find the the right entrance of the Locust Lake village community as said in one another review. With GPS we ended up on the entrance which is meant for only the owners. There is as 24 hour security contact number given on this gate. We called the number and got the right directions to enter.

Beautiful Setting and Well Kept Home

May 15, 2011

My husband and I spent a week at this home with another couple last month. The home was spacious and nicely laid out and was clean and well kept when we arrived. Everything was in working order and instructions were clearly labeled all over the home. It rained the entire week we were there and all four of us still had a great time. I'd rate this home with 5 stars because our only complaints were very minor: 1. The owners did not warn us ahead of time about how to actually reach the home. It is within a gated community and if you plug the address of the home into a gps system, you will end up at key card access only gates on backroads. You have to have the actual gps coordinates of the Locust Lake Village office (as it does not have a street address per the office staff) in order to gain entry into the community. 2. The listing stated that the property had a working gas grill. There are actually two grills, but upon arrival we found them to be in extremely poor condition. They looked as though they had not been cleaned in years and, upon finding numerous spiders among the cooking elements, we elected not to use them. We did however, find a very small charcoal grill in working order. As I said, only minor complaints. Overall, a lovely home and a great vacation, rain and all.

Ski House for New Years

Great location. Clean House. Owners were very friendly and come over to fix an issue with a bed slat. Other than a few minor furniture issues- we were very pleased with the house!

Locust Lake Village

January 7, 2010

My family and I loved this property. The owners Pete and Marina had everything mapped out notes jotted down to with directions on how to use everything in the house. They even left cell nimbers to call if we havd any problem ie could get the tv to work but they walked us through it. Spacious with all the comforts of home and I have to say I have been renting in the Poconos about 15 years now but have yet to rent a home that was as CLEAN as theirs. It was an absolute pleasure to stay here would recommend to anyone! Community peaceful and quiet near to everything we went to the waterpark as well as horseback riding, skiing and tubing closeby something for everyone would defintely stay here again.

Thanks for everything. We had a great time as usual. This time we did the water park at Split Rock Resort which the kids loved.
