Point Loma is a beautiful penninsular community which is surrounded on three sides by water making the climate one of the best in San Diegp County. The home is located in a quiet residential neighborhood perfect for relaxing/rejuvinating. There are three different beaches within three miles. One beach is great for small children, no waves (harbor side). The average temperature in Point Loma year round is 72 degrees. The area is incredibly scenic, you can actually watch California grey whales from the Point Loma Lighthouse when they are migrating to Mexico. See why San Diego is called "America's finest city". The house was perfect for the 4 of us, all adults. We were so close to everything; it only took 10 minutes to the Downtown nightlife or to the beach. In warm weather the two decks would be perfect for morning coffee or evening cocktails. Ted, the owner, keeps the place in immaculate condition. I highly recommend the house.

San Diego Vacation

We just got back from a five-day trip to San Diego and stayed at the Point Loma bungalow.We were so impressed with the home and its location. Everything was extremely clean and well-organized - there is even a washer and dryer. The house has been totally updated and it's just gorgeous, especially the kitchen. We met the owner, Ted, on Saturday and he was most helpful in answering our questions about the area (we live in New York, but plan to retire to San Diego county in three years). This would be a great house for a small family or two couples. The location is close to everything with good freeway access - Sea World is only a few minutes away, as are Old Town and Cabrillo National Park (don't miss going there for fantastic views) and Balboa Park. To stock up on groceries, be sure to visit the Von's on Rosecrans - the best supermarket I've ever seen and definitely worth a visit. We especially loved Balboa Park and spent a lot of time there. Even though I grew up in LA, I hadn't visited most of the park. We went on Saturday and returned on Sunday afternoon to experience the Open House at the International Cottages, complete with food samples and volunteers in ethnic costumes. Also, my husband, an aircraft mechanic, was very impressed with the Air & Space museum. It's really first-rate. I highly recommend this home. For the price of a hotel room, you get SO much more. Best decision ever

When traveling to San Diego with my 9-month old daughter for my sister's graduation, my parents and I were originally planning to book some sort of suite arrangement at a local hotel. But all the options were pricey and not that appealing. Then my sister recommended we take a look at this bungalow. IT WAS PERFECT!!!! I can't enthuse enough about what a wonderful little place this was. Perfectly sized for two couples, gorgeously appointed plus a kitchen fully stocked with pots, pans, plates, everything! And so neat and clean, I had not problem letting my daughter crawl around on the floor (not something I'd be inclined to do on hotel carpet). The neighborhood is quiet and friendly, shopping and restaurants are a five minute drive away, but it's definitely in a residential neighborhood (which is nice if you want to go for a relaxing walk). The backyard is spacious and a lovely place to relax. The owner thinks of everything a guest might need. Truly an exceptional experi
