Beautiful Point Roberts, WA Vacation Rental Home

Description of the Point Roberts vacation home rental

This home is located in Point Roberts, WA, but is only 25 minutes from the Vancouver BC airport which is located in Richmond BC. This lovely, 2400 square foot home is about a 5 minute walk from Lighthouse Park, which is on the south side of Point Roberts. Lighthouse Park is a spot where many orca (killer whale) pods are seen going by. The house contains 3 bedroom, 2 1/2 baths, and is an ocean view house, located across the street from the beach. The house has beach rights. House is also on a lake which allows swimmers and boating (no motors). There is a row boat behind the house for you to take out on the lake, with life jackets in the foyer closet.

Living room, kitchen, half bath, and sun-room/office area are all upstairs providing maximum access to 360 degrees of beautiful views: From the sun-room see Mount Baker, WA, and the Georgia Strait; from dining room see mountains of West Vancouver and Whistler lights at night; from living room and dining room see views of Gulf and San Juan Islands and Vancouver Island.

As mentioned, the beach is right across the street, with a private beach access way we can direct you to for your use. We and our guests have seen orca pods go through the Strait from the living room windows of the house (binoculars are in the house). . and there are usually killdeer birds nesting in the yard, or heron or bald eagles to watch--just depends on what time of year you come. Sometimes there will be otters in the lake behind the house, and always ducks and other waterfowl. Blackberries are in season in August and September and are all over the Point, even some in the yard!

The house is 25 minutes to the Vancouver, BC (British Columbia, Canada) airport, and about 50 minutes from Bellingham, Washington airport. You can be in the thick of downtown Vancouver in about 35-45 min. Vancouver, BC, Canada was voted the #1 city in North America and is Host to the 2010 Winter Olympics!

Ferries to beautiful Vancouver Island are about 10-15 minutes away. Don't forget to plan a trip to Victoria, Craigdarroch Castle, and Buchart Gardens, all located on Vancouver Island! We have some brochures at the house to give you plenty of ideas for sightseeing. Or you can just relax and enjoy the views and the beach, and walking at Lighthouse Park, which has some awesome fun trails for the kids to play on.

Grocery store is about 5 minutes away, and you'll pass the Point Roberts Marina on the way there. Don't forget to take a long walk around the Marina and enjoy looking at the boats.

• Other Fees: Be aware that your dep. may be taken in part or whole if house is found to have any pet hair or requires longer than 4 hours cleaning/washing laundry. $100.00 fee for bounced checks. Can pay in Can. funds if equiv. of U.S. I hope this all doesn't sound too harsh! If it does, it is because we are kind of attached to this place as it was our primary home for a couple years, and we want it to stay nice, as we still spend quite a bit of time in it.
