Description of the Poipu Beach vacation condo rental
When we first walked into what was to become our new home in Kauai,#305 Kuhio Shores, the views of the ocean, coastline, and lush green hills and palms literally took our breath away! Located on a snorkeling beach (rated best snorkeling in Kauai by "Sunset" magazine) and a summer surfing favorite, we could see turtles feeding below the lanai and blowholes out in the distance. Around the corner we saw where we had first learned to snorkel, next to one of the best restaurants in all of Kauai, the Beach House. We immediately made an offer. Our oceanfront, one bedroom condominium, #305 at Kuhio Shores, exceeds our dreams!

If you are on your honeymoon, wish to recapture the romance in your relationship, or you just want to experience the awesome beauty and serenity of this "jewel on the sea" by yourself, with your family, or friends, this is the ideal home for you when vacationing on the Garden Island of Kauai.

Kuhio Shores is closer to the ocean than an other condo or resort on the entire island of Kauai. Learn to snorkel by the Beachhouse, on the west side of the building (teaming with fish; over 600 varieties in Hawaii!), then get into the water below our lanai to snorkel with turtles! On the south side of our property, relax on the grass and watch surfers (little kids will amaze you!). Right here, is one of Kauai's premier summer surf spots.

In our completely private, third floor condominium (4 floors total), the only thing you hear is the crashing of the waves. As soon as you open the front door, your eyes go out to the ocean. You have unobstructed views from the kitchen, living room, dining room and, of course, the lanai.

Recently remodeled for the most discriminating guest, our home reflects the Hawaiian tropics. Comfort and beauty are our priority. Bamboo floors glisten in the light of the morning sunrise. New tile and paint, in tropical greens and earth tones, create a peaceful, clean atmosphere. We recently created new Italian Noccino marble shower with stone accents and installed new granite countertops and stainless steel appliances in the kitchen. Another addition to add to the tropical feel is bamboo wainscoting in the dining area.

The new ultra luxurious king-size bed, a top-of-the-line with a "memory foam" pillowtop, is the most comfortable bed we have ever slept on. The chenille, queen-size, pull-out couch has a five-inch-thick mattress (no bars or poking springs). Two Hawaiian-style reclining chairs are perfect for laying back to watch the waves, listen to CDs, or watch cable TV. The hand-carved dining room table with rattan chairs is your exclusive seat to spot playful spinner dolphins. Artwork is carefully chosen to reflect the lushness and peace of Kauai. On our large lanai are two chaise lounges, chairs and tables; you will be so comfortable, you may not want to leave. Seeing a rainbow, or the moon shimmering over the water will create lifetime memories.

Because we know you are probably tired and hungry after your long journey, we give you an "Aloha Basket" with snacks and coffee, so that you can immediately begin to relax. We also provide fragrant, natural, handmade, shea butter soap.

The "Aloha Spirit" truly exists on the island of Kauai. We have done our very best to bring this spirit into our "Jewel on the Sea."

Area Info
Beautiful, sunny Poipu is located on the Southern tip of the island, and is centrally located for easy access to exploring the entire island. A main road goes around the island ending at the Napali Coast on both the North and the West side. To reach the end of the road from Poipu, on both sides, takes about an hour and 15 minutes. It is surprising just how much there is to to in such a small place! The center of the island is the uninhabited, rainiest spot on earth. Mountain peaks capture the water from clouds, creating hundreds of magnificent waterfalls that can only be seen via helicopter. These peaks and valleys have been used as the backdrop for several movies including Jurassic Park. Kauai has some of the most magnificent vistas on earth. There are boat tours that will take you along the Napali Coast, an unforgettable heavenly experience! If you like natural places, then this is the place for you! When you stay with us, I will send you more information about Kauai's wild places. We have some Kauai guidebooks in the living room. In Kauai you can sightsee, hike, bike, snorkel (two of the best spots are at the condo), fish, sail, dive, surf, boogie board, golf, visit botanical gardens (the National Botanical Garden is one mile, next to the blow hole, at Spouting Horn and, incidentally, where our road ends, thus limiting traffic.), visit museums, kayak, take boat tours, helicopter tours, AV tours (go to movie sites), shop, go horseback riding on the beach on along a river, or just relax. Our teenage daughter loves to go to Koloa town to eat Lappert's famous ice cream and visit the quaint shops and art galleries. We also enjoy shopping at the outdoor stands at Spouting Horn where beautiful carvings, masks and gifts for friends can be found.
