Description of the Poipu Beach vacation condo rental

This condo is located in the quiet, tropical setting of Waikomo Stream Villas in sunny Poipu. It is within a five-minute walk to the ocean and the grounds offer a well-maintained, winding stream, swimming pool, barbeque grills and tennis court; grounds are complete with banana trees and beautiful island palms that sway in the tropical tradewinds.

This Tommy Bahama style condo is 1,000+ sq foot; a large 1 bedroom/1 bath. The flooring is tile and white carpeting with white drapery throughout. The bedroom has a four-poster, California king bed. The bedroom also has its own private TV which gets oceanic cable and DVD player, as well. It has a large, private patio door leading to the lanai.

There is a full kitchen complete with teak cupboards and new granite counter tops. The kitchen includes a gas range cook top with grill, oven, microwave, garbage disposal, dishwasher and new stainless steel refrigerator.

The condo is beautifully & fully furnished. The living room offers a TV/CD player; cable-ready and high speed internet is available. The queen size sofa sleeps two comfortably. The dining and living rooms are lovely with large patio doors leading out to the lanais, both front and back. Both lanais offer larger outside dining areas, if desired. Ceiling fans located throughout.

The bathroom, with beach-like decor, offers a tub/shower combination and full vanity with mirror.

Condo is complete with washer and dryer. Off-street parking. No smoking or pets.

Area Description

Poipu offers beautiful weather with its “desert-like” tropical zone. Most island hotels are located in this area, taking advantage of the beautiful sunny days, day after day. The garden-island of Kauai consists of many micro-climates, thanks to its interior valleys, coastal plains, and mountain peaks. If you travel into the mountains, it can change to much cooler temperatures in a matter of hours. The rainforest (middle of the island) offers 432+ inches of rain a year while Poipu's average rainfall is only 36 inches. At the north end of the island, the Princeville area's average rainfall is 85 inches. Poipu offers quaint to upscale shopping, beautiful beaches with easy access and great golf courses. Poipu Beach has been rated in the "Top 10 Beaches" in the country and Poipu Bay Golf Resort hosts the likes of Tiger Woods - both within five minutes of the condo. Poipu is within 20 minutes of the Lihue airport and reasonably-priced groceries,(Walmart, Target, Costco, etc). There are many restaurants in the Poipu area with amazing sunset views of the ocean.
