Cozy Kauai Cottage

Out stay at the Cozy Kauai Cottage could not have gone better. The house is quiet in the beautiful rain forest. Sleeping is easy with the rain coming down at night and the trade winds blowing in making the temperature perfect. The house is centrally located on the island so it's a short drive to any part of the island. We spent most of our time scuba diving, snorkeling and sitting on the beach. The dive meetup is an easy ten minutes away and the Poipu Beaches and west coast beaches are perfect. Highly highly recommend this place to stay to get away from the resorty places. Chris and T you were wonderful!!

We just spent 10 nights at the Cozy Kauai Cottage and totally enjoyed it and the environment around it. It's very clean and well kept up, and is located in a lovely, private forested and meadowed tropical setting, not far from the ocean beaches. So for those preferring a beautiful nature site with only the sound of wild birds and trees swaying in nightime breezes I'd highly recommend it.

This was our second trip to Kauai and we again stayed at this cozy cottage which is just perfect. This is the only place that we like to stay. The cottage is clean, very private and most of all surrounded by outstanding plant life. This is the place to stay while in Kauai. Plus the beach is less than 10 minutes away. Location is key.

Sweet little place, compact but has everything you need. Not fancy, but clean and comfy. Has a better bed than some much more expensive places I've stayed in. Set off the road in a quiet neighborhood, beautiful grounds, lots of acreage. Not a sound at night but the chickens and the occasional rainfall. No traffic noise at all. Convenient to everything on the south side of Kauai, only 5 minutes to Poipu beach or Koloa, 10 minutes to Kalaheo.

Thanks Stacey! We actively manage the chicken population on the property to provide our guests the most relaxing stay. Still, like virtually every place on Kauai, chickens can be heard in the distance.

We spent my husband's 50th birthday at Cozy Cottage and it was perfection. Having just spent 4 nights in Maui at a 7 million dollar villa, believe it or not, Cozy Cottage is nicer! Sparkling clean, gorgeous setting and stocked with everything you need. Your hosts couldn't be nicer or more accomadating, and Walt is a great greeter. They have thought of everything right down to new sponges, full soap dispensers and luxurious sheets on the bed. They also have a frsh fruit bowl in the cottage with fruits picked right here on the land. Stay here and you will not be disappointed!

We had a great time and the cottage was wonderful! Very friendly duck (Roger) the official greeter! Our stay was very relaxing and the setting is easy to live with. A better option to hotels.

I stayed in this lovely, cozy little cottage and loved it! I can hardly wait to return. There are windows on every side and looking out into the trees left me feeling as though I was in a treehouse. Chris was available for questions and was a wonderful host. The cottage is very comfortable and peaceful and I loved eating out on the lanai watching the little pigs and chickens down the bottom of the hill. The location is a good starting point for exploring all areas of the island. Mahalo, Chris!

Cozy Kauai Cottage is the most perfect place to stay on Kauai! Tucked in Koloa, you get the cool Kauai breeze and can fall asleep to the sound of rain almost every night! The location is great because it's only about 20 minutes to either Kapa'a or Waimea and only 5 minutes from the action in Po'ipu. We loved having lunch on the lanai and hanging out with the horses. Chris is the nicest and most accomodating landlord I have ever rented from. We will definetely make this our hoome away from home each time we visit Kauai. Mahalo and a hui hou!

My husband and I had the pleasure staying in the cozy cottage for a week. We loved it! Everything we needed was available to us. I especially loved not having to rent chairs from Snorkel Bobs. The place is just so perfect, the chickens horses, pigs, fruit trees were just amazing. We plan to return next year. Mahalo Chris for making our vacation the best. (I did not want to leave)! See you next year.

We loved this cottage!! It was very clean, very private, very comfortable. And Chris was the perfect innkeeper-- gracious and helpful. We loved the view from the lanai of the meadow with horses, calves, chickens, boar and nene. But most of all, we enjoyed relaxing there after a day of seeing sights, etc. We drove around the "apartment blocks" in Poipu and were so happy to be somewhere where we could hear the happy birds in the trees. The cottage was well stocked and comfy. When we return to Kauai (hopefully not in another 25 years!), we want to stay here again.

My husband and I were thrilled to begin our four month adventure in Hawaii and New Zealand at Chris's Cozy Cottage, so aptly named. We felt as though we had landed in paradise amidst the orange and apple banana trees, wild chickens, palm trees and bird calls. Everything we needed was supplied. Very clean as well. We could take off to Poipu Beach or Waimeo Canyon so easily from this tranquil retreat away from the crowds. We enjoyed talking to Chris about the island. He is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. One day we will return.

Chris' cottage was a wonderful place to spend our 10 year anniversary trip. It was a pastoral home away from home that made our adventures even more fun. Chris' knowledge of the island was very helpful and we really enjoyed the fruit off of his land. The only problem we had was with the water heater and Chris fixed that quickly and professionally. It was a wonderful time and we can't say enough good things about the cottage.

Oh my gosh, we had the best time. Loved the cozy Kauai cottage!!! Best find EVER. Thanks so much Chris, we really loved the place. It was perfect and we enjoyed waking up to all the birds singing in the jungle and the chickens cock a doodling!!! We felt like we were in our own little part of paradise!!! I loved that Chris had everything you needed to go to the beach. Didn't have to worry about beach towels, chairs, umbrella, boogie boards; it was all there. We will definitely stay here again if we ever make it back. Best vacation ever!! Thanks again

We have been to Kauai many times and our stay here is .... highly rated. You can not find a more private, secluded, and easy access place in all of South Kauai. We are returning for sure. Our host and his son were very accommodating. If you do not like crowds or condos, this is the place for two. Also snorkeling or town is only 5 minutes away. We loved our stay.

I had such a good time here! This place is an undiscovered gem. The setting is absolutely spectacular, very private and serene. About the only sounds I heard were the birds and wind in the trees and an occasional papaya falling from a tree. Yet, I was 3 minutes from Koloa Town and less than 10 minutes from Poipu Beach. How nice it was to come home to this sweet little place in a cool tropical forest after a day at the beach. The cottage itself is newly renovated and very thoughtfully designed, quite beautiful and comfortable. Chris was available on the property for questions and advice about the island; he's very helpful and takes great care of the place. All this and a terrific value, too. I would absolutely stay here again.
