This Bird of Paradise home, one of the largest 4 bedroom homes in Poipu Kai Resort, is perfect for honeymoons or family reunions. We have two master bedrooms on the second floor and another two bedrooms on the first floor. All living, dinning and kitchen area are on the second floor. We have about 2600 sq ft indoor and 1500 sq ft of second floor lanai area for you to absorb the magnificent views of the majestic mountains, partial ocean, sunrises and rainbows.

The main house has a master bedroom suite, two other bedrooms and 1000 square feet of living and dining area surrounded by large picture windows on the second floor. A separate suite on the second floor detached from the main house has it own kitchenettee and offers beautiful mountain views. The bird of paradise Poipu Kauai vacation rental home accommodates eight adults comfortably and in complete privacy because none of the bedrooms share a wall or is on top of another. A modern and completely equipped kitchen is also on the second floor.

The large wraparound lanai invites you to relax and enjoy the views, suntan, read a good book or eat outdoors. A large gas grill, also on the second floor lanai, makes cooking a breeze.

They are home of many hawaiian wildlife birds. More than two dozens of Bird of Paradise bushes under coconut trees are continually giving flowers all year round. Snow bushes and Hibiscus showing off their beauty along the border and around the house. Tropical tree manuba is grown as tall as the second floor lanai giving little red flower sporadic around the tree. Backside of the house has nice landscape of tropical bushes such as haliconia, Anthurium, white and blue ginger, Mango tree, Papaya and Bugalvia.

Guests enjoy all the amenities of the Poipu Kai Resort such as nine hard and soft surface tennis courts, several swimming pools and spa near the Poipu Beach Broiler, and 24 hour on site security.

Bird of Paradise Poipu vacation rental home is located mid-way between Shipwreck Beach, a beautiful beach best for experienced swimmers and surfers, and Brennecke and Poipu Beaches. Brennecke Beach is great for boogie boarding or body surfing. Poipu beach was voted as the best beach in the USA and is excellent for snorkeling and has a protected swimming area for for kids. You can reach each one with an easy 5-10 minute walk through the beautiful green belts of Poipu Kai Resort.

Area Description

Spouting Horn, National Botannnical Gardens and the beautiful, yet uncrowded, Mahaulepu Beach are only three miles away.

There are three golf courses nearby. You can see and walk to The PGA grand slam course, Poipu Bay course on the cliffs. Trent Jones designed Kiahuna golf course is a mile away and Kalaeho, Public course with breathtaking views and unbelievably low rates is about ten minutes away. Diving, riding, snorkeling, watching the whales (in winter) , turtles, dolphins and seals, surfing, kayaking,diving and hiking or just plain loafing at the beach beckon those who like the outdoors.

While the pictures and description of Bird of Paradise seemed very inviting and beautiful, I was not quite expecting the breathtaking views from the spacious and airy living room of this home. It was the perfect place to pray, meditate, gather one's thoughts and contemplate. The layout of the home flows and it is quite spacious, equipped with everthing a person or persons might need to be comfortable. There is really no need to go to any four star restaurants, as the dining accomodations also showcase a spectacular view of the mountains. The gourmet kitchen and a trip to the local farmer's market could inspire any number of culinary adventures. The cozy bungalow off to the right of the house is simply charming and provides the feeling of being in another time and place. It is conveniently located by the wonderful Poipu and Shipwreck beaches which beckoned me to rise early and experience indescribable sunrises (a mere 5-10 minute walk away). It was truly a gift to have the privacy and beauty of this magnificent home to ourselves. We left restored and rejuvenated! Thank you!

Our stay in Kauai was awesome and staying at the Bird of Paradise Home made it even better! The home was more than accomdating for our group of 8. The lovely home was extremely clean and stocked with all we needed. Having the local soaps & lotions was a nice touch! Our 19 year olds & guys liked the basket of used sunscreens..We only brought 30+ and they wanted 15-. The kitchen had enough pots & pans to handle cooking for our big eaters. We made two trips to Cost Co! It did take us a day to locate the correct swimming pool and the 19 year olds (boys) were told they could not swim at the Hyatt :). They discovered the locals hang out at the beach in front of the Sheraton so of course they forgot all about the Hyatt! The location of the home was very convenient for walking to the beach, pool, shopping, restaurants and of course beautiful hiking trails. We highly recommend ATV riding with Kipu Ranch Adventures and Zip lining with Princeville Adventures. You have to eat at Dukes and Keokee's, plus you can't leave the Island without at least one Puka Dog. The Lu'au at the Hyatt was fantastic. And last but not least, I think between all of us we tried every flavor and combination of Shaved Ice (get the ice cream on the bottom). All of us want to come back!

My wife and I have been to Kauai in the past and have loved it. After staying in your home it made the experience that much better! The photos online just don't do the home justice. We brought my parents with us for vacation and they were sorry to leave the view behind, my mom almost cried while we were packing. We plan on staying again next year!

"Aloha Ning, Just wanted to let you know that we had a fabulous time in your home. It was as comfortable as our own home. We normally go out to eat at least one meal a day but the kitchen allowed my brother-in-law(a gourmet cook), to keep us well fed all the time. Golf was fantastic! Poipu bay offers multiple play packages that are quite reasonable so we played six times. The local beaches were very nice. We toured the entire island and snorkeled at a few spots in Princeville that were great! We will definitely contact you in the future to stay in beautiful Poipu Bay. The home exceeded our expectations. In addition to having great sleeping, bathing, and cooking facilities, there was plenty of room for all (5 adults) to have adequate space and privacy. Wonderful views from the living room and lanai. Walking distance to great beaches and very good dining (Casa de Amici and Poipu Beach Broiler). We hope to return.

What a beautiful home! We had a fantastic time in Kauai, Our family was here to celibate a 50th birthday. Can't think of a better way to do so. The location and comfort of your home was perfect. We would love to return. (Almost any excuse would do!)

Seven adults had a wonderful vacation staying at the Bird of Paradise property for two relaxing weeks. The home is both spacious and well designed with ample bathrooms and private bedrooms. Very nicely decorated and fully stocked with ample dishes, pots, towels and bedding to everyone's satisfaction. There is no air conditioning but the tropical breeze and cross flow windows gave so much comfort that we slept with comforters over us. Each bedroom had two sets of sheets so that doing the laundry frequently is not required. Washer and dryer came in handy though and we made frequent use of them in the double garage which had a stock of beach chairs etc. We could not be any more comfortable and had parking for 4 cars in our own driveway. The self contained private bedroom off from the main house was a nice feature and a pleasure and we three couples rotated every 4 or 5 days so that all could have total privacy for a period of time. The view is breathtaking of the mountains and old volcano on one side and a glimpse of the ocean on the other from the huge deck and a great barbecue and outdoor dinning area also. Flower gardens are spectacular also. We were very central to everything on the island here and close to several great beaches also. Just walk down to the end of the road to the ocean for a very pleasant experience and you can watch whales and sea turtles swimming. We were so glad that we rented in this area and Suite Paradise were so helpful also. We definitely would return to this home and to this location as soon as the opportunity presents itself again.
