Do nothing....do everything....or do something in between....Eat inside.....pool side....or down at the beach....Wander.....wonder........ponder......Eat.....drink...be merry......yes......eat, pray & love........Everything is right there.....restaurants...(fresh bagels & NY style pizza 2mins on the right - A1A north...churches (Saint Gabriel 4mins on your right A1A south - quite a sermon the Irish priest belts out with a pre-measured dose of both humor & seriousness.....& the gentlest of warm breezes in every direction. Go out via foot...car....bike.....the choice is yours. Stock up at Publix - 5mins away over the NE14st bridge and then stay put at the house in a very comfortable atmosphere.....where you can all gather. It also can be a place of solitude. So much better than a hotel. 3202 has much to offer. A great place to stay all day and a great place to come home to at the end of the day after you have just water taxi'd it all the way down to the cruise ships in FortLaud. (from Shooters down off of Oakland Blvd)......Come and plunk yourself down on the couch after a meal at Big Louies.....or aft a meal at Pompano Golf Course, Guloopie's rest. (?sp).......Float in the pool anytime of day...close your eyes and listen to the breeze and to the pool's water fountain. Cross over A1A ..foot or bike down Beacon to the beach.....there's a bench up on the hill to your left where the lighthouse and the pelican are king....next to the bench is a memorial...reminding one of life's unpredictabilty...How ironic....

We expected an adorable "beachhouse" steps away from the shore... that is not the truth! It is at least a five minute walk and if you have luggage to carry with kids, it is too far away. The house is spacious, the rooms have all a good size, the kitchen is great and well equipped, but everything seems to be a little but "run down" and tacky for this exorbitant price in the off peak season. The owner is friendly and helpful.

Think twice before renting from this guy. He never refund us the security deposit. The check is in the mail he says everythime we wrote to him ! We also had problem when the air broke while we where there. The repairmen called to get the credit card number from the owner, but he could not got a credit card with enough money to pay for the bill ! The repairmen ask us to pay for the bill otherwise he will removed the piece and will get no air in the house !! We refused to pay for the bill and the repairmen was good enough to let us the system for another day since we where living the next day. We lost a whole day !

CONS: This rental is not what was advertised by the owner. Bugs in the house, leaves dropping from plants in the back yard patio and in the pool daily - needs constant attention. Pool heater pump system not functioning properly so pool does not heat up. No TV in the master bedroom. Gas grill broken and no gas in tank upon arrival. Awning outback ripped. Lots of junk laying around in backyard. Owner did not sent security deposit back as promised or as agreed in contract. PROS: location is nice (but don't eat the bagel place). Nice game boy and games for kids. When the pool is cleaned, it's just OK. Beach is nice but you have to lug EVERYTHING over which is a hassle. Bikes are fine, nice ride to deerfield beach. Close to many restaurants in fort lauderdale or del ray. SUMMARY: Spend a bit more money any you'll get a better property. def would not stay there again.

The location of the house was wonderful. We did have an issue with bugs in the house and no matter how much we cleaned, the floored was dirty. The dryer also quit working during our stay. Even though someone did come out, it was never fixed. The pool pump was also clogged, but it was resolved during our stay. Overall, it was nice and relaxing, but the house and pool were not as clean as I had hoped.

We rented this house for the week of spring break. There were four of us, (2 adults, 2 kids) and we felt that the house wasn't really ready to be rented out for a week. There were things missing that we needed such as propane in the gas grill, knives (sharp), TVs in the bedrooms (not necessary, but nice to fall asleep to), pans to cook in and good beach towels. There were dead bugs and worms in all the rooms, which may not be helped, but an exterminator would certainly control that more. The whole house just needed some TLC. The grounds were unkempt, the linens on the beds were cheap and cheesy and very dated, there was two bathrooms, but one is in a separate room on the other side of the house which has a stove and refrigerator in it. It must be an accessory apartment....we couldn't figure it out. Overall, for the money, we've stayed in houses that were must more updated and furnished with all the comforts of home. We felt that this house was lacking in those comforts...we like to cook at home and enjoy the house and we felt we really couldn't do that at this place, although, with a little work, this rental could be a hit.

I normally do not right negative things about a property and like to work things out in an amicable manner prior to give the person a chance to rectify it. It was our worst experience as a family holiday we have ever had. The place was not kept up to what I would call proper standards for a good home rental. It needed many repairs, both indoors and out, so many that when the owner said I should have told him while I was there, we would have spent our whole holiday babysitting his repair crew as was the case when we asked for the heating to be fixed one day and we spent the entire day waiting for his repairman that never showed up until we had to call the owner again at night while freezing in his house. The most unacceptable situation was the pest infestation in the house. There were cockroaches everywhere in the kitchen and the main master bathroom. That would come out at night while we were sleeping and were noticed once any of us needed to go into the kitchen or the bathroom. What a nightmare!

The property couldn't have been located better, just a short walk to the beach. The house itself was in need of significant maintenence, both interior and exterior. There were a lot of tools, paint cans and supplies in the closets. The pool was nice, but the solar heater is only partially effective in the cool weather. A cover helped retain the water temperature over the cool evenings. The stay was fully outfitted with towels and bedding. The washer and dryer are a nice feature as are the grill and cable TV. There were some water toys for the beach and pool.

Please be careful in working with Gary. My family was supposed to stay for a week after Christmas 2010. There was a mix-up where Gary did not receive the balance of our payment and assumed we were not coming even though we had given him a deposit. He apparently did not get our check but did not bother to contact us let us know he did not receive our check and gave the place to someone else, of course leaving us in a big bind. After many calls and emails, I finally reached him and he then assured me he would return our deposit since he lost no money having rented the property again. I have emailed him mulitple times since and he has ignored us completely. This man is not ethical so please use caution.

The property is nice. The Jacuzzi is not working. Would be better if is in condition also. Overall its good. Very near to the beach. Clean environment.

The photos and hospitality of this home do not even match up in the photos. The back pool area was comfortable and private. The short walk to the beach was fantastic and while we were there, hardly anyone on the private beach. Even took the bikes for a bike ride along the strand. Thanks for such a well kept home and friendly atmosphere. The town is also great with lots to do and close by shopping. Thanks again.

Unfortunately, we rented this place for 4 days prior to a cruise. Owner had not paid their utilities for some time and as a result the department of water works shut off the water supply to the house! After many phone calls nothing was resolved. WE finally went down and paid the water bill with the assurance of the owner we would be fully reimbursed. However, as such things are, the utilities never got around to turning on the water supply until after we left. We spent our vacation time purchasing bottled water and flushing toilets with water drawn from the pool. It was like vacationing in the Dominican Republic, but with better local restaurants. Great location though....

Had a wonderful time. Could not have asked for a better place. Our party of 6 adults and 2 kids were very comfortable and the atmosphere is very tropical. The owner Gary is very helpful and his home is supplied well. Nice to have the comforts of home when on vacation. Thank you Gary and hope to visit you again.

My sisters and I were returning to Pompano Beach to scatter our mother's ashes in her beloved Atlantic Ocean. We stayed here and it was just PERFECT. Sitting outside by the pool, we truly felt like we were in a tropical forest. The home had all the little, daily things you need when you aren't in a hotel which made the stay so comfortable. The walk to the beach, inlet and lighthouse could not have been easier. And PLENTY of beach towels!! Very important! Thank you Gary for your quick responses to my questions. This was a great find.

Our family has vacationed in Florida nearly every year to the past 10 yrs. This was our first visit to Pompano Beach - but has been our favorite to date. The house is in a GREAT neighborhood - close to shopping and of course the beach. The private gated beach access is immaculately maintained and sooo close to the lighthouse (beautiful day or night) The house is well-equipped and sooo very private. There is a lush courtyard in front and private pool in the back. My only real drawback was that there was no tv in the master bedroom (I fall asleep to the tv everynight). The pool is small but adequate (we had six ppl swimming at once mostly) The bikes available made for a beautiful ride up the A1A past beautiful mansions on the ocean and canals. The house itself is quaint and quite adorable. The one other drawback was the outdated bathrooms. Everything else was perfection! We have rented many houses, condos and hotels in our trips to Florida, but this one has shot right up to the top of our list!!

We have vacationed many times in Florida, renting accomoodation in Destin, St. Petersberg, Sarasota, Sanibel, Kissimmee, Lake Buena Vista, Haines City, Ponte Vedra Beach and Pompano Beach. The quality of accommodation this time (in terms of detail and finish) was not as good as the outstanding quality we found at virtually all previous locations (at a similar or lower price). However, the location is convenient for the attractions the area has to offer, the pool area is lovely, the property is well equipped, and there is plenty of room. The second bathroom (especially the tiny shower) is barely adequate, and is in bad need of a makeover. Curtains held back with clothes pegs did nothing for the ambiance. Basically, the accommodation was adequate, but the property lacked the "wow" factor. Nevertheless we had a lovely holiday and we got used to the few shortcomings.

We could not have created a better place for our family getaway to Florida if we started from scratch. It has everything you need or could want from a Florida vacation getaway. We loved the neighborhood, the beach access, the pool.... And the owner was a geat guy to work with and I would do it all over again...and plan to....

We spent a spectacular 4 day weekend at this truly adorable house with 2 young daughters. The weather was so-so, but with the lush and secluded yard and beautiful pool we hardly noticed. The home is very comfortable and well appointed. Lovely neighborhood, very short walk to the beach, terrific Greek restaurant nearby. We can't wait to go back. We want to spend more time on the beach and I want to fish more from the rock jetty by the lighthouse.

I had a reservation for over a year for which the owner overbooked and then shut me out of the availability. Although promising to refund the deposit money, he hasn't done so. Be careful!

This here is quite a nobel house to make a good family vacation in Florida. Gary has answered all my questions by mail in advance and was very helpful. The house is really great and very nice to live in. The best is the real big and deep pool under mango trees and coconut palms. I thought it would be smaller. You have plenty of space in the garden and may rest in the shadows as well. It is only some steps to the beach, which is nice for snorkeling with many fishes. For swimming I often visit the normal beach in pompano - within 5 minutes with the car. You can also drive fast to the seagrass mills mall: The biggest outlet mall in the world. Boy, you can spend money here! Weather was fine except some rainy days. Everything you need can be found at the US-1 within 5 minutes to reach. And I LOVED the green friendly geckos, the iguana, the Anoli, the frogs and all other animals. There are moskitos, but most of them are eaten by the dragonflys. So have fun here and enjoy your stay.

Good house. Owner was extremely helpful & collaborative in finalizing details. Everything is "as promised". Nice neighborhood. Back yard / pool area is very pleasant. Only downside we can think of is the kitchen furnishings, which are not quite up to par with the rest of the house (e.g. no good quality sharp knives, etc...). But overall: very good. Once again: owner will do whatever he can to make your stay enjoyable.

Our family of 5 thoroughly enjoyed our stay on Leigh Rd. The home was very roomy and comfortable. The backyard pool and landscaping was great! The proximity to the private beach area was good, and we were able to enjoy the beach with lots of room to roam. This house is great for a family vacation, and it's an easy drive up and down the intercoastal waterway destinations. Highly recommended!

Our family really enjoyed our stay at this wonderful home. The pictures on this site don't even come close in describing how beautiful it really is. The pool and all of the amenities rival most resorts. We will definitely be renting again next year. Thanks!!

I would rent again. I would rent another, from this owner. This is the best I can say about this house. It is very well maintained, and supplied better than most rentals. Everything from spices to baggies and foil, to bikes and beach toys. We only needed to supply food and airfare; the owner really looks after you. The house is roomy, the neighborhood is quiet, the nearby beach is clean and fun and wonderful, and I can only say nice things-I would rent this house again!

Thank you for a wonderful time. My family really enjoyed the time we spent at Leigh Rd. The home was beautiful, the pool and yard, very tropical and enjoyable. The location is exquisite, The beach is VERY nice!! We felt like we were right at home, on vacation. This trip was by far our best.
Our Aruba trip was great, But This was not a trip or vacation but an ESCAPE! Thank you for sharing your home with us. It's charm will no doubt be the perfect place for family and friends to come to year after year. We must now come out of our "relaxing state" and go back to the "real world" :-( But we'll never forget this week. Michelle, Jen & Gabriella
This wonderful house took a vacation trip and made it even better. We got to "live" in Florida for 10 days rather than just visit. The beautiful yard & pool, the location by the Ocean could not have been more perfect if it was special ordered. May this be the begining of many future vacations at Leigh Rd. for our family.
