Beautiful Oceanfront Luxury 1 level home -Pets OK

Sandpiper's Nest is the perfect vacation home for travelers who are looking for a relatively small but luxurious pet friendly oceanfront home. Situated directly on the beach in South Ponte Vedra, between Jacksonville and St. Augustine, Florida, this charming one level home is our most popular rental.

The house is about 1700 square feet, with 3 bedrooms and 3 full baths, a large open living - dining- kitchen area, huge deck with private walk way to the water, double garage, and many amenities.

The living area is completely open to the large deck and ocean views beyond. Comfortable furnishings, dining for 8, large flat screen TV and DVD player add to the lovely cottage ambiance.

The master bedroom is large, approximately 14 x 18, with a king size bed, sitting area, day bed for toddlers, desk with computer plus wireless, and private bath. The room is located on the back of the house where sleeping to the sounds of the ocean is perfect.

The "junior master" is located on the front of the house. It is outfitted with a queen bed, built in storage, wood vaulted ceilings, television armoire with DVD player, and a private bath.

The bunk room is loved by all the kids who visit Sandpiper's Nest. With a bunk bed and trundle, it can sleep 3 in comfort. Play space, television with DVD player, and lots of games and puzzles help children get through the occasional rainy afternoon.

You will love the deck. Unlike most in the area, it is very wide, extending to about 16 x 20 in the middle. It is furnished with lots of loungers and a large dining table with seating for 8. The deck is completely secure for little children and pets. A short private walkover leads from the deck to the beach!

The beach itself is wide, sandy, and peaceful. Because we are surrounded by single family homes, with no condos or fast food in site, the beach is very quiet. You can snooze in the sun, read all day, swim or fish in the surf, walk for miles in either directions, or just lie back and watch the dolphins and gulls. It is wonderful!

There are numerous excellent restaurants within a 10 minute drive, and several public golf courses are within a 15-20 minute drive. St. Augustine, just 5 miles south of Sandpiper's Nest, is a charming little town, with many attractions, great restaurants, and interesting stores including art galleries and antique shops. In the other direction, Ponte Vedra offers additional fine dining, more golf, and more shopping. Or, spend a day in Jacksonville at the zoo, any of several excellent museums, or catch a Jags game!

You will not run out of things to do! You can charter a boat for a day of deep sea fishing, rent a kayack or jet ski for ocean fun, visit a local winery, stroll St. Augustine's St. George Street, make a trip to the famous Alligator Farm, take a helicoptor tour, go parasailing, try horse back riding on the beach, stroll through the nearby wildlife preserve, play golf, ride beach bikes or much more! Many of our guests find time to take quick trips to Disneyworld, Marineland, Daytona speedway, or even Cape Kennedy.

In spite of the many activities available in the area, most of our guests are so happy with the house and quiet beach that they seldom stray far from Sandpiper's Nest. You may never want to leave!
