Description of the Port Aransas vacation guesthouse rental
The Bed & Bath is located in "OLD TOWN" Port Aransas amid beach bungalows, fishing cabins, and shady palms...and is walking distance to almost everything. Furnishings are a blend of antique and modern styles with ceiling fans and hardwood floors throughout. Your private entrance is off a breezy front porch furnished with table & chairs. The living room has ample seating, a small library, fireplace and eclectic bric-a-brac. PLEASE NOTE: there's not a kitchen, however we do provide a coffee pot, medium sized fridge, bowls, mugs, flatware, plates and paper towels for guests who bring their own groceries. If you're looking for a place with a kitchen we also rent "BEACH LOVER'S CONDO," a one bedroom condo near the beach on South 11th Street (also listed with vacationhomerentals).
ALSO NOTE: prices listed are for rental of ONE bedroom. Both bedrooms can be rented for an additional charge of $25 (1 person) or $35 (2 persons) per night.
Creative types, world travelers, and just regular folks will enjoy the harmonious atmosphere of Old Town Bed & Bath. This is a great get-a-way from life in the fast lane...but it's by no means a beach party house. Make it your home away from home when the gulf shore is calling.
P.S. Well mannered dogs are welcome. A non refundable fee of $25 - $35 (depending on size/breed) is required (per pet). Crates preferred if dogs are to be left alone.
P.P.S. Feel free to smoke on the front porch where chairs & ashtray are provided.

Very simple and nice guesthouse located in a quite neighborhood. Host is on site and was available for all of our needs. Best place for out 2 pets. Thank you for being pet friendly. Although situated in the neighborhood, all of the shops and restaurants were in walking distance. Very home like atmosphere rather than the hotel atmosphere. Very clean house. Thanks for letting us stay.

Privately owned cottage feel in cozy home that allows dogs at a very affordable rate. Wood floors and tile in bathroom so bring blanket for Fido. Mother-in-law layout w/ owner residing on opposite side of the house. 2 bedrooms available although we just needed one and happened to get the one w/ a sleep number bed. Small color TV in bedroom. Best to bring your own iron, blow dryer and coffee if anticipate the need. Location is fabulous as it's walking distance to many restaurants, live music and the beach was about 1 mile away. Owner was extremely friendly and very accommodating. Didn't get the chance to rent the kayaks they had available but hope to return sometime in the future! Thanks for a wonderful and relaxing get-a-way weekend Carol & Ron!

It was our first trip to Port Aransas so the owner Carol and her friend gave us some amazing food recommendations and other ideas of things to do and places to go. The house was spotless and just felt like a home away from home. Very comfy bed as well! Carol was so gratious to let my fiance and I bring our two dogs and had blankets there for them. Many thanks to Carol and Donna for everything!! Katie and I can't wait to come back!! Best vacation in a really long time!

My daughter and I (and her dog, Charlie) spent a long weekend in Port Aransas at Old Town Bed and Bath. This was our first time to spend the whole weekend in Port Aransas--usually we stay in Corpus Christi and just visit there. Staying with Carol was wonderful! She is a very friendly and gracious hostess, helping us with plans and directing us to things that might be of interest. Her Bed and Bath contained everything we needed and was very nice and clean. Her place is pet-friendly and it was nice to be able to take Charlie on our trip without worrying about finding a place that would allow us to keep him with us. We definitely plan to return for another wonderful holiday in Port A!

I had an incredibly relaxing stay here in February. Carol was charming and friendly, but also discreet when I needed privacy. The bedroom is very nicely furnished (and the bed was very comfortable); the private bathroom is ENORMOUS and lovely; and everything is spotlessly clean. I spent my days wandering around Port A (you're a block off the main drag) and up and down the beaches. Just a perfect weekend for me.

What a vacation should feel like...

If you haven't stayed here, then you haven't been with the most accommodating, generous hosts that any B&B has to offer. This is the place to experience gracious hospitality and more! Carol was a great host and was very knowledgeable and helpful. We were very thankful for her working with us on our late arrival. She offers a surprisingly affordable lodging in the heart of Port A. I have been visiting Port A for years and never have I been disappointed. Please note that this is the best alternative from any of the other hotels in the area "Freedom" :). Always great to get away from the city, work, laptops, etc. This is a fantastic location, close to the just about everything. It is a lovely neighborhood and close to many restaurants. Please, take the opportunity to stay if you are in the area and treat yourself! Aside from that, the B&B has an unparallel in quality, attention to detail, value, cleanliness and service. A uniquely wonderful place. The room was very cozy, comfortably decorated, impeccably clean and very well appointed with quality bed linens and towels. You feel as comfortable as you are in your own home. The common areas are equally impressive and the property is very nice. Filled with wonderful details like art and a glass of ice tea when you arrive. We will definitely be staying here during our return visits to the area. FYI: donate your book once your done, it adds warmth ;). I love Port A...thanks to Carol and her Bed and Bath for topping it off. Cheers!

My wife and I stayed with Carol at the Old Town Bed and Bath for a long weekend of relaxing. It is exactly as advertised -- a bed, a bath, and common area -- and is in a great location. Easy walking to just about everything. Carol, the owner, is fun to chat with and also has a lot of information to offer about Port A. We absolutely plan to stay here again!

Port A Bed And Bath, Is Just That. We Decided To Make A Quick Trip To Port A, But Did Not Want To Spend Alot Of Money. All We Needed Was A Place To Sleep. We Found This Property Online. Of Course We Were Alittle Worried, Because The Price Was So Amazing. The Property Was Spotless, And Very Comfortable. The Main Street In Town Is One Block Over So You Can Walk To Everything. Impossible to beat!

This little cottage made for an awesome get away for my husband and I. It was absolutely spotless, private and within walking distance of great restaurants, shopping and entertainment. The beach is about about a 15 min walk. You will love Carol - she's so sweet and tells a really funny story about the neighborhood turkey. The rates were also outstanding and we can't wait for the opportunity to stay there again.

A great place to get away. It is small so there is minimal housekeeping. It is close to everything. There is no TV, no phone, no cooking and no newspapers. Just what the doctor ordered. I will return.

Why do you want to go to the beach? to get away from your crackberry, TV, computer, emails, phones and all the other things that you do not have to worry about. The Cottage offers just that kind of escape for the brain with all the pleasures of a simple home. It is a true adventure and definatley the way to get a real feel for Port A. Park in the drive and bike/walk the rest of your trip. Miss the place already

We booked the cottage on short notice - everything went smoothly. The cottage is small, simple, clean and central (it is best to get to the beach by bike or car). Generally - a great place to stay. It has all the essentials you need. I would recommend it to anyone who is going to spend a couple of days in Port Aransas. Thanks a lot for the great stay!
