Description of the Port Charlotte vacation condo rental

Newly purchased condo on the Myakka River, has great views of water and sunset, all new furnishings, beautifully decorated with all amenities including large LCD TV, stereo, DVD player. King bed with pillowtop mattress in master bedroom, 2 twins in second bedroom, also with pillowtop mattresses. Excellent area for fishing, swimming, shopping, and many activities close by.
Heated swimming pool, close to beaches and excellent restaurants. Golf, movies, Myakka State Park closeby. Fantastic views from bedroom or living room with access to the lanai, enjoy beautiful sunset at the end of a busy day.
Many extra amenities, each year I add something new, this year it's a juicer so you can squeeze fresh orange juice.

Area Information

Walk to El Jobean fishing pier and historical post office. Boat rental also within walking distance. Myakka State park about 20 minute ride, Punda Gorda fishing pier and restaurant about 5 miles away. Beautiful Englewood Manasota Key beaches 10 miles away. Sanibel and Captiva about 45 minutes ride. Fort Myers less than an hour with interesting flea market to go along with beaches and restaurants. Disney World, Seaworld, Universal Studios about a 2 1/2 hr ride. Venice Beach about 20 minute ride. Tampa and St. Petersburg about an hour or so. Sarasota about 20 minute ride. Boca Grande, about 15 minutes, cute town with excellent beaches, fun to rent a golf cart and explore the area. There's so much to do and see in the area, hard to list everything.

Relaxing Vacation

This condo is beautifully decorated, very clean. Has everything you need, as if it were your home away from home. Very quiet, except for the traffic outside the balcony (it faces the main road). Not far to great dining, shopping. Very relaxing place to stay.

This condo is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The residents are very friendly and help make our vacation more enjoyable. The location of El Jobean, located between Port Charlotte and Englewood gives many opportunities for dining, shopping, golf, beaches, etc.

This was our second stay at Tarpon Bay condos. We found it tastefully decorated and accomodating. Fishing was as good as ever, pool refreshing, lots of good golf courses located within 20 minutes. Shopping and restaurants were also a plus. Highly recommended.

Extremely Well Equipped Condo

My wife and I travel a great deal and we try to rent condos where ever we go. Of the last 10 we have rented, we can think of only one other one (in Hawaii) that we would rate higher than this one. Tarpon Bay is a large, clean, nicely decorated apartment with comfortable furniture. The kitchen was equipped with every possible appliance. The apartment is reasonably quiet (you quickly get used to the swish of the traffic passing on the highway, a ten minute drive on this highway takes you to dozens of restaurants and shopping). I liked the easily accessible, covered parking which kept the car cool. The apartment is on the second floor which gives you a good view over the river but means you get your exercise climbing two flights of stairs. Getting the phone and internet working was a bit of a challenge and took a few minutes to figure out. We enjoyed our vacation and thought we got value for our money.

I thank all my previous renters for their honest reviews. I personally found the view from the lanai outweighed the noise from the road but I certainly can understand why that's a drawback. Good news is I was advised they are putting a sound barrier which should help the noise from the road but not hinder the beautiful view. Wow I hope so! I try to compensate with beautiful furnishings and an exceptional clean and well cared for place to stay. Again I appreciate honest reviews, I have had many return renters who enjoy the condo as I do.
