This clean cozy 1350 square foot waterfront home is located on a cul-de-sac in a quiet residential area. The house has a large open kitchen/dining/enclosed Florida room overlooking the freshwater canal. The spacious dock is just 200 feet from the open water (Mayyak River) with quick access to Charlotte Harbor (30-40 minutes) or the Gulf of Mexico (about one hour) offering some of Florida's best fishing.
Area Information
We are located within approximately 15 miles from multiple public beaches (Englewood, Manasota, Venice and Port Charlotte). The area offers fantastic fishing, multiple golf courses and the nearby Charlotte County ballpark is home to the Tampa Bay Rays during spring training.

The house is about 12 miles from Port Charlotte, 10 miles from Englewood, 1 hour from The Sarasota airport, 1.5 hours from the Fort Myers airport, 2.5 hours from Tampa and 3 hours from the Disney Parks.

Other Fees: $125.00 Cleaning fee with each rental. For those that prefer to leave the home clean, the cleaning fee will be returned within 2 weeks following satisfactory inspection. Up to $100/month for electrical bill is included with rental fee, cost above that amount will be reimbursed to owner out of security deposit. For people that rent for 3 months during the prime Jan. - Mar. season, the lower monthly rate will be provided for Feb. rental, e.g., for 2015 the rate will be $1850 vs. $1900.

Great winter stay in Port Charlotte

My wife and I were fortunate enough to find this home away from home for the winter. It was a great location on a canal on the Myakka River. It was a quiet area with little traffic. A good place to go bike riding or go for long walks. We especially enjoyed all the birds that populated the area, including a great blue heron that walked right up to us in the back yard. The house itself was spacious and well kept with all the necessary items needed for an extended stay. The owners were always willing to help with any questions or anything that needed to be taken care of. For a quiet relaxing vacation at a very reasonable rate, this was the best place we have stayed at in Florida.

Comfortable home with a great view. Nice dock on canal for access to river and harbor. Nice quiet neighborhood for bike riding or walking. We plan to return Jan/Feb 2013.
