Located on sailboat water just minutes from the Myakka River where you can relax and enjoy spectacular sunsets with an unobstructed western view.
This home has a heated pool that was built in 2008 with anadditional 800 sq. ft. of pavers for outdoor living. this huge area is completely screened in and a baby fence surrounds just the pool.

Relaxing , Quiet and Beautiful!

lots of room

So thrilled to have rented a beautiful kept home. Lots of room for the kids and in laws!! So nice that the adults each had a master suite. Kitchen was well stocked with all the appliances, pots and pans and lots and lots of glasses/ dishes!! No need to wash dishes with such a large group. Nice touch of having spices, sugar,coffee filters,dish soap etc on hand. We have been renting vacation homes for over 15 years and was impressed with this one. Owner had the pool heated and ready to go for the kids and provided us with bikes also. Close by to grocery stores and a 20 minute drive to the beach. My opinion is well worth the money. Only draw back was the night life for the teenagers... but suited us "adults" fine!!..R and R was what WE wanted!

Paradise in February

We stayed at this great house in February 2013 for a family reunion. It was wonderful to all be together under one roof because of the six bedrooms. It was really convenient to everything that we needed but private enough to be able to enjoy the quiet. The sunsets on the canal were spectacular to watch as we sat relaxing on the lanai. The pool was great fun and I loved the large first step it has. It was good for the little ones to be able to play on. The alligator we watched in the canal was a nice unexpected bonus. : ) It was tough to return to the cold northeast after such a fantastic vacation. This is a home that we will certainly return to when we all return to Florida.

Great location for this large home

We enjoyed our one-week stay in this large home. We actually only used three of the BRs, but it was great. Very nice kitchen and family room area. The pool was nice. It was a little too chilly to use it, unfortunately, except for our first evening there. The view up the canal was gorgeous, and we were there right at the time of year when the sun set right in the middle of the canal. Port Charlotte is a great location to vacation. You're very close to so many of Florida's very best beaches. We journeyed up to Siesta Key and it was fantastic, although again, next time we hope it will be warmer! All in all, it's a great house with a great view. Recommended!

Seclusion with all the conveniences

You never know what to expect in January in Florida, but this home offers all the conveniences you'd want, and a heated pool to enjoy regardless of the weather. With more bedrooms and bathrooms than I needed, it would certainly suit a family or someone who likes company. Large and comfortable, with everything supplied that you need for a short stay, but leaving you longing for a longer stay. South Gulf Cove is a growing waterfront community that offers seclusion and quiet, yet has a Publix Supermarket, a new Home Depot, several banks, restaurants and convenience stores just around the corner. Drive about 15 minutes east, and you can reach the Southwest Florida Regional Mall, with all the big retailers, movie theaters, and even more restaurants nearby. Drive 12 minutes to the west, and you have the many shopping centers of Englewood. Another 6 minutes and you can visit pristine Englewood Beach, on the Gulf of Mexico. This area also offers wonderful bike and walking trails, boating and kayaking opportunities, and even more if you like fishing. Play golf on a choice of good golf courses (maybe not the best, but they won't cost you an arm and a leg either). Return home at the end of the day, and take a dip in your own pool, enjoy the wildlife and birds in the area, and then watch the beautiful sunset down the canal, while you sit in your screened lanai, as the quiet of the evening sets in. This isn't Miami Beach, if that's what you're looking for. But if you like a quiet, secluded setting, while still having access to just about any amenity you'd want, this is a very good choice. Another good thing is that the owner (landlord) is very accommodating and great to work with. I was well pleased with my stay, and will visit here again (but probably to explore moving here and possibly building in the same development). Hope you enjoy YOUR stay! I think you will.
