Description of the Port Charlotte vacation home rental

Approx. 1205 sqft under air, 1 living room, 2 bed rooms with built-in closets, 1 study, 2 bath rooms (thereof one with shower, one with shower & tub combination), 1 kitchen, 1 garage (approx. 215 sqft)., lanai (roofed) approx. 236 sqft

Household ist equipped for 4 persons: dishes, sheets & cloths, towels, washer, dryer, iron, stove & oven, micro wave, dish washer, coffee maker, 6 fans, 1 air conditioner, 1 stereo, 1 TV-set, personal computer, WLAN internet access

This is a non-smoker place; pets are not allowed to the premises.

Nearest beach is about 15 minutes ride by car, nearest golf course is approx. 20 minutes ride by car.

The vacation home is located in a regular residential zone; our offer is addressed to individuals who don't feel comfortable in typical touristic surrounding.

Lanai caged: For your convenience pool area and lanai is caged, you'll be able to enjoy the sunset holding your drink in one and the paper in the other hand. The third hand you won't need, as all the mosquitoes are expected to be outside the cage.

Janitorial services available: The vacation home handover and return is performed by an english-speaking representative. He would also be your person to address for questions concerning janitorial tasks and everyday-life.

Children are welcome. However, the place is not particularly equipped for toddlers or infants (no crib, no high-chair) and it is not child secured.

TV-entertainment is digitally received by antenna; viewer may select out of approximately 45 programs, including spanish languaged program, religious content and shopping channels. About 15-20 programs are entertainment in English language. For more entertainment there's always netflix and the like.

No telephone line is installed in the home. Please use your cell or phone via internet.

Area Information

Covering 820 square miles, Port Charlotte is located north of the Peace River with 165 miles of canals and waterways accessing Charlotte Harbor and the Gulf of Mexico. There are also miles and miles of natural shoreline bordering the Peace and Myakka Rivers, making it an ideal choice for waterfront living and recreation. In all, 14,004 private boats, 28 marinas, 15 public beach access sites, 13 boat ramps and two sailing schools adorn the county’s extensive shoreline. The county also boasts about two dozen parks, numerous recreation areas and a federal wildlife refuge.

Twenty-one golf courses, tennis courts (10 public) and public pools, as well as four YMCAs get lots of use from residents. The waterways are sites for a host of competitive events, including fishing tournaments and boat/yacht races.

It’s also worth noting, the Everglades National Park, one of the most spectacular natural ecosystems in the United States, is only a short drive away.
