Description of the Port Orford vacation cottage rental

Two Studio Cottage unite plus the main house. Main house was built in 1921 by a pioneer family, from the wreckage of a ship named The Joan of Arc. This is a "Step Bck in Time" history filled home with flannel sheets, books, games, puzzles, upright grand piano all within walking distance of the beach, deep water harbor and town. It affords a great hub for the towns many hidden treasures or simply a great place to relax.
PLUS: On the same property in another historic building are two studio apartments, which are also vacation rents for two people. Please see pictures.
This vacation property makes an ideal place for reunion and small retreat gathers or simply a nights rest in a clean, cozy and quiet spot.

Area Description

The town is the oldest township on the Oregon Coast. Hidden Treasures of Port Orford include a unique fishing doc, which lifts the boat onto the doc each night; A Coast Guard Museum, which includes many historical pictures & memorabia of the town, lots of hiking trails, bird watching, beach combing, a first run movie house, art galleries, Theatre 101 a live theater company.
Just north of town you find the famous Cape Blanco Lighthouse and Historically Restored Victorian Hughes House. There are three rivers available for fishing, two north and one south of town. This is a historic/fishing/art community where the towering trees meet the sea. Home of the Port Orford Cedar and Myrtlewood Trees.

We are just across the street from the first run movie house. There are six resturants and one bar in town that serve a variety of foods from Continental, Fish, pizza and downhome. The Local live theater offers five productions per season and they are especially great. There are also three major Festivals per year.

Deposits: $175.00 Security/Cleaning. When studios or home are left neat and undamaged there will be a refund of $75.00
