Description of the Port Townsend vacation cottage rental

950 Square foot ADU, spacious and bright, suitable for 1 - 2 people. End of dead end road, seven quiet acres with spectacular water view and miles of trails out back. Eight miles from Port Townsend, 23 miles from Sequim. Full kitchen, shower only (no tub), king bed. Wheelchair accessible but no interior railings for handicapped. Cash or check only. $125 one night; $100 per night if you stay two or more; $500 per week, plus 11% (!) lodging tax. No additional fees if place is left tidy. Note that we have an 11 A.M. check in and a 3 P.M. check out so that you will have time to enjoy the area.

The house in the main picture is our home, across the yard from the rental. It is close, but our home faces the view and we give you maximum privacy.

Wi-Fi in unit.

No pets or smoking please.

Area Information

We are in a very rural area overlooking Discovery Bay. Miles of walking trails out of back yard.

A blissful retreat at the most extraordinary location in Port Townsend. Absolute comfort, quality, and peace for renewing mind, body and soul. A gem to be returned to, time and time again. The hosts are of the utmost pleasurable, kind and accommodating people. We would choose to stay no where else.

Lovely and peaceful place

Gene and Libet's apartment is a lovely place in a gorgeous setting, a great view of Discovery Bay and miles of trails outside the door (though we didn't get time to walk). The owners had a book with maps, hints, tips, and helpful suggestions waiting on the table when we arrived. We enjoyed meeting cat Norton and dog Tostada, they were perfectly behaved. Strongly recommend this place for anyone wanting peace, quiet, beauty, meditation, restful sleep, wonderful sunsets.

The cottage exceeded all our expectations with respect to location, cleanliness, furniture,attractiveness and supplies. We even had homemade buns on the kitchen counter upon arriving. The view and tranquillity is incredible. We experienced the most awesome sunset on the Thursday evening. The gardens are also very attractive. I would have no difficulty whatsoever, recommending this location to friends and family.

Quiet, Peaceful - Excellent hosts!

My husband and I took Memorial Day weekend away from the busy city for a little R&R out in Port Townsend. Wow, was this a nice place to stay! It is a beautifully designed cottage overlooking Discovery Bay. Nice sunsets with cocktails or morning coffee on the deck! Everything you need – grill, kitchen, king sized bed, TV etc. Its great for staying in and relaxing, or just as good as a home base for seeing some of the area attractions like Hurricane Ridge in Olympic National Park, Port Townsend, and all the neat farms and stores in the area. The cottage is bigger than the pictures let on – it is just super comfortable. Lovely hosts, that got us all the information we needed and excellent hospitality. Many thanks to them for letting us rent the cottage for the weekend – don’t pass this one up!

These people were too easy! He may look like he parties, but the place was immaculate and we hardly knew they were there. Almost (almost) felt bad taking their money.

Lovely, lovely cottage. Equally lovely landlords. If that weren't enough, the view is fabulous!! I loved every minute of my stay--coffee on the porch taking in the beautiful water view, woods and quiet privacy. Also comes with resident cat "Norton". What more could you ask for? I visit Port Townsend as often as I can--this is by far my favorite place to stay.
