We do not charge cleaning fees, damage deposits, or raise our rates for weekends and holidays.

This cozy 1,000 sq. foot beach house features low bank for easy beach access, large deck for taking in the view, outdoor dining, socializing and barbecuing on the stainless steel gas grill. The fire pit near the water's edge is ideal for roasting marshmallows. For your convenience and pleasure, the home has 3 telephones, satellite TV with DVD, CD stereo, remote controlled gas fireplace and full sized washer and dryer in the laundry room. If you care to cook, the house offers a fully-equipped kitchen, including dishwasher. The beach house sleeps 6 comfortably.
Area Information
The tranquility found here at the southern tip of Discovery Bay makes this the perfect spot to unwind. Enjoy the spectacular water view from the comfort of a deck chair, wander our private beach, or better yet, pass the time fishing, clamming, shrimping or crabbing (in season and with proper licenses).

This is a top notched house. Very quaint, clean, well stocked and so close to the water. The water side deck is fabulous, both view and size. I tried the new BBQ, enjoyed steaks and water view in the evenings. I highly recommend you contact Sandi and Rich, you will not be disappointed at all.

We came to stay here as a birthday weekend for my husband's 40th birthday. His parents came to join us from England and we all stayed for three days of joyful uninterrupted bliss :) The accomodations are spotless, the beds cozy and comfortable, and the deck with the view was magificent. We saw eagles and other birds...and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. So much so that we called Sandi on our last day and begged to stay one more night...which we did :) Great energy and love in that place. You can tell it is a place that people have celebrated being together for a long time :) will go back again for SURE!!!

This two bedroom beach house was right on the water with an amazing view of Discovery Bay. The house was one of the cleanest places we have ever stayed. Although there are other houses in the area, they are out of view so the beach house was very private as well. Loved it and will definitely be back!

Upon my arrival to one of the most cutest cabins I have ever seen, I knew this was going to be the beginning of a great weekend and I was still in my car. Upon my entry, I knew I had made the best choice as it was warm and inviting with the soft fragrance of Scentsy. I wondered around the inside of this cozy little cabin just looking at all of the love that the owner's put in to this home on the bay. You can tell the owners love this place by the way it is taken care of. Immaculate is an understatement. The beds are more comfortable than anything you could get anywhere else. The bathroom and kitchen have everything you need and more. Huge deck. Beach to walk on. I believe this home was built in the early 1900's so that only leaves a lot of character there to make it a very calming/relaxing/welcoming place to stay. The floors don't creak when you walk on them. The little touches around the cabin really make it the warm and cozy cabin I was looking for. Just sitting still and relaxing, you will notice all the little details. If you have never been to this area, this is the place to stay to begin your getaway. The beautiful drive to town took 20-25 minutes. I found myself driving slower just so I could take it all in. Each time I returned it felt the same, very inviting. Not your typical rental. For us it was like housesitting for a dear friend and you want the house to look exactly like it did when you arrived. We are already planning our next weekend to include a couple more days. You will not want to leave. I know we didn't. Thank you Sandi & Rich for all you have done to not only make my time spent there a wonderful experience, but for others as well. I have so much more to say, but I will save that for all my friends and family that are wanting to get away as well. Thank you for sharing.

What a great retreat for the Holidays, or any day for that matter. The Fairmount Beach House is very comfortable, nicely decorated and truly a home away from home...only with a fantastic view. And the fact they are pet friendly made it the perfect fit for us. We will be back.

This was our second stay at the Fairmount Beach House and everything was just as we remembered it from our last stay. The addition of WiFi was nice. The house is very comfortable and clean and our dog loved romping around the large yard. We'll definitely return!

This is a very pleasant, well-maintained cottage. There is almost no sense that there are other people around in this season. Large yard which goes down to beach, there are good views of Discovery Bay from the cottage, and there's a quiet road for walks when the tide is too high to walk on the beach. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked with adequate equipment. The cottage was plenty warm. The owners of the cottage were very helpful, cheerful, personable people who sincerely want to help if there are problems. If you are planning to go to Port Townsend on a daily basis, expect to spend about 40 minutes on the round trip.

Perfect little house at the head of discovery bay. 1 large, 1 small bedroom. Enough dishes and utensils to host a dinner party. Sheets and linens were nice & good quality. Fresh flowers welcomed us. Large lawn was fun for the kid & dogs, a few easy stairs to the beach, fantastic views, friendly owners and neighbors .Daughter had a blast beachcombing all week! 10 minute drive to the QFC in Chimacum, 20+ minutes to Costco in Sequim. 15 minutes to Downtown Port Townsend for fun shopping and lots of restaurant choices and parks for the kids to play. Already looking forward to our next visit.

The house was tip top clean and we felt super welcomed by our hosts. Our dogs loved the ample yard and we enjoyed the beautiful gardens. it was peaceful and quiet. The beach was private and tranquill. Port Townsend was about a 10m drive away. Englemount cider and wine was a mere 5 minutes away. We will return!

Even better then the photos and description show! The house , grounds and the bay are absolutely beautiful. The owners Rich and Sandi met us at the house when we pulled up. Very nice and conscientious people. We met a good portion of the neighbors who were equally friendly. We had a little Washington "Liquid Sunshine" the first couple of days followed by real sunshine the rest of our 10 day stay. We caught and ate enough fresh crab, clams and oysters to feed a platoon. The resident eagle flew by every morning as we sat out on the deck. Our two Boston Terriers enjoyed exploring every nook and cranny of the grounds and most of Fairmount road. The location was central for our boating adventures on the Straight and Hood Canal. It was really hard to leave when the time came.

From the moment we walked into the beach house we were relaxed, the view is incredible and the house itself was spotlessly clean, we felt instantly at home. We didnt bother to eat out, just grilled on the deck and then lit a fire in the fire pit to round off the day. We can not wait to go back!!

Fairmount Beach House is the perfect getaway home away from home. It had all the amenities, was nicely decorated, and most importantly, comfortable! The property on Discovery Bay is large and spacious in a quiet neighborhood. The deck is very large and would be a great place to hang out in the summer. We will definitely be back!

Our 3 night stay at Fairmount Beach House was wonderful. It has every amenity and is quite close to Port Townsend, which was one of our requirements. The view from the living room and kitchen/dining area is spectacular. There is a laundry area on the back porch and Direct TV, as well as a selection of games and books. The kitchen is well stocked and the bed was extra comfy. 2 space heaters and a gas stove in the living room kept things cosy. The place was spotless when we arrived. A major bonus was that we were able to take our small well behaved sheltie with us and he loved the place too. One minor complaint: there were a few too many artificial plants and flowers. It is a relatively small space and would benefit from the old adage "less is more." Other than that, a truly great little gem on Discovery Bay.

Lovely Beach Home Vacation Experience

The Fairmount Beach House is the cleanest vacation rental that we have ever used and incredibly well appointed. That being said, the real draw to this charming home is the exquisite view of Discovery Bay. The home is located privately about 20 minutes from downtown Port Townsend. It has an incredibly large yard that our little Norwich Terriers loved. My husband and I would recommend this rental home to anyone that may be looking for peace, quiet and solitude. This home fits the bill.

Everything at the Fairmont Beach House was beautiful. From the vivid green scenery to the flowers and sweet cottage-home, to of course, the indescribable view. Even the pictures don't do it justice- you just have to see it in person to truly see the wonder in this view. We had a perfect time here. Everything was spic and span, welcoming, and peaceful. I would not change one thing about it.. Renting this property for any amount of time is far more than worth it. I highly, highly recommend!

Fairmont Beach House definately met and then exceeded our expectations. I have rented many beach houses and have never had this much luck. We found this home welcoming, spotless and comfortable. The backyard goes right down to a private beach where there was sand dollars and shells. In the morning we ate breakfast on the back deck and looked over the bay. It was the first trip for my sister and I and our college age girls to get away together, we well definately go back to the Fairmont Beach House...Beautiful!!

We had a wonderful time at the Fairmount beach house! The porch is excellent and you can't beat the access to the water. Our 12 year old son discovered how much he loves the water here and would disappear for hours at a time combing the beach. We saw lots of birds: bald eagles, ospreys, black-headed grosbeaks, western tanagers, common terns, the ubiquitous gull. We also saw harbor seals who would come up and feed at low tide each morning. Fresh crab and shellfish (although a ban was up on the shellfish) were abundant. The cabin was clean and Reid family and their neighbors were extremely hospitable while giving us our space at the same time. We loved it and would definitely recommend it to anyone!

The view was gorgeous and the deck our favorite place to hang out morning, noon and night. The house was meticulously clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed taking our kayaks out in the bay right from the yard. And on top of the sun, fun and beautiful views, the owners' friends brought us fresh-caught crab right from the bay. What a treat! We plan to be back!

This is a very special accommodation. The house was very clean, comfortable and cozy. Since some of the trees had not leafed out yet, we had a panoramic view of Discovery Bay. It was very quiet, only local traffic on the road. We enjoyed coffee on the deck every morning, listening to the sound of the waves on the beach and bird songs. Already thinking about the next time we can visit!

This property was everything we were led to believe and more! Everything was extremely clean. The kitchen was stocked with every item one would need and the quality was nice. The decor was calming and pleasing without being overpowering. The beds were so comfortable it felt like home. The deck and its view was terrific. Within easy reach of Port Townsend and Sequim, there was plenty of touristy things for the energetic to do. For those with more relaxed tastes the deck and the oceon provided it all. Four of us set out to stay here in early march, honestly expecting rain and storms the three days we were there... But instead we were treated to something I have rarely witnessed. Sitting on the back deck watching a picture perfect sunset in the distance as the clouds wisped right by us. We could see the rain falling far off on the water and opposite coast from where we were, but it did not hit us at all. The house had everything we needed to relax and have a good time. We decided to hike out to the lighthouse on Dungeness Spit in Sequim on Saturday, which turned out perfect. 10 miles later we were sitting in Smittys burger joint eating some of the best burgers around Washington, although the chimacum cafe was pretty stellar as well. There are pamphlets for most if not every restaurant in town as well as various activities. The only downside to the beach house was leaving. It was hard to say goodbye even after only a few days. This is definitely worth coming back to time and again. Thank you Sandy!

This house was perfect! It really is right on the beach with a fabulous view and plenty of yard space to enjoy, complete with campfire pit. The deck is awesome, and the grill made for some great outdoor cooking. Coffee in the mornings on the deck was one of the best parts of our trip...before the kids woke up :) The owners have thought of everything their guests could want/need. The kitchen was well-supplied with ample pots and pans as well as other tools and gadgets; we found it very easy to cook in. The beds are comfy and there were plenty of blankets, pillows and towels for all of us. There were even rubber boots and shovels for us to go clamming. Thank you for thinking of everything and allowing us to stay in such a pleasant and peaceful place.
