Description of the Portlock vacation home rental
The headline may seem pretentious but this is what so many visitors to the home say as well as being called 'their favorite home' by most movie/TV show location scouts. Now for the first time ever our unique private home will be shared to Travelers from around the world. This is undisputed island living at it's finest. This Hawaiian style oceanfront home is perched 65 feet above sea level, giving you the best perspective of the ocean. It's also located in the breeziest and sunniest locales on the island of Oahu and faces due West. For those seeking privacy and serenity, look no further.

Convenient yet as far out into the ocean as possible and simply a stunning place to be. Along one side of the property is a large private tropical jungle ravine with banana, coconut, papaya trees with a country-like feel. Access to ocean is down a private meandering grass path to where there is a rarely visited cove with olivine sand next to it. Absorb the incredible views of mountains, deep blue and crystal clear ocean, sunsets behind Diamond Head, whales and dolphins frolicking with the rhythm of the ocean (in season).

Perched on the cliffs in prestigious Koko Kai, in the Portlock area, this home has the most amazing views of any rental in the area due to it's incredible position on the cliffs. This home also directly fronts a very rare spitting cave/ocean blow hole (not THE well known Spitting Cave). On the ocean side of the home is a infinity swimming pool/spa with deep-ocean blue tile surrounded by cut lava stone pool deck. Next to it and elevated is a large BBQ lanai for outdoor entertaining. From there you can see the lawn, pool, mountains and ocean. You have ocean views from 3 dining areas; the outdoor BBQ lanai, dining area and the living room.

The Master Suite, private lanai and bath are direct ocean frontage. Every one of the 4 bedrooms has its own private bath. The large office is located next to the powder room.
Sleeps 8 in rooms. Nap, read or just soak in the sounds of waves, wind and birds on the oceanfront lanai on a Queen size Hawaiian daybed known as a pune'e. There is also a daybed in the office to relax and keep your loved ones company while they do their work. One of the rooms is a Guest Suite with kitchenette and separate entrance which can be separated from the rest of the house if needed.

Ocean activity opportunities abound such as scuba diving, boat rides, swimming and surfing. Golf, hiking, tennis, hiking and great walking around the neighborhood.

This property has been used in numerous TV shows, movies, national and international advertising. Obviously a special slice of paradise to be chosen.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What are fun things to do in the area?
A: Great activities in the ocean. Many stores to rent the equipment you'll need and are only a mile away. The hiking on the Makapuu paved trail is one of the most outstanding views on the island. There many trails that are not too tough and all within 2 miles. Some people say the home is like a private mini-resort so relaxing on-site is great too.
Q: What makes my home special?
A: Most people say our home is "the nicest home they've ever seen" and we think, if they only knew how great it "lived".
Looks are one thing but the way a place feels while living there is totally something else. Quiet, private, low key are words I would add to the beauty description.
Q: What's THE coolest nearby activity that I just have to do?
A: CALL ME, you tell me what you're interested in and I'll educate you about all I know about Hawaii. We're conveniently located so everything is within a half our unless you go the the North Shore one day. I'm 6th generation on the Western side from England. Also being native Hawaiian helps to understand the complexities of Hawaii. Personally I love ocean sports and like to surf, so just call before, or during your visit and we can discuss the activities you desire and I'll point you in the right direction.
