Description of the Powell River vacation cottage rental
Beautiful, fully renovated cottage style home on southfacing oceanfront acreage. Enjoy the fresh new appeal of this home, nice furnishings, comfortable beds, new bathroom, and new appliances as well as completely new paint and flooring. The home layout is separate dining/living areas, a generous bedroom with queen and single bed, plus a front bedroom with queen bed and view, pull out couch in living accomodates extra guests. Surrounded by large trees, a rolling lawn to a level beach and pretty gardens. Peaceful rural setting with miles of easy access beach to explore, with plentiful oysters, beachwood treasures,interesting beach stones, and warm water for swimming. Only minutes to hiking, golf(Myrtle Point golf course) and Powell River amenities. A one acre lawn sprawls in front of cottage, great for games, pitching a tent, suntanning, or beach fire barbeque/picnic. Coming, 2008, enclosed gazebo dining room at beach with bar be que, nice and private!
Area Description
Sunray cottage is located 10 minutes south of Powell River, which is a friendly small rural town with interesting history. There is a historic townsite, access to Texada Island(where the rare 'flower rock' can be found), Savary island and desolation sound, lots of shops, weekend markets, easy access trails, willingdon beach, scuba diving(hailed as some of the worlds best), kayaking, quadtraking, the list goes on. Access is by ferry, boat or plane(airport),so visiting here is really like stepping back in time, a friendlier time! Powell River is rated the second best weather in all of Canada, only one behind Victoria(according to 'money sense magazine').

4.Thank you for a wonderful 3 days at Sunray cottage. The home is warm and comfortable and we enjoyed the picturesque views of the water. We decided to use the firepit on our last night and enjoyed a sky full of stars. Thanks for making our stay the end of a perfect vacation!
