Description of the Progreso vacation apartment rental

Just five blocks from Progreso's oceanfront and an easy walk to the beach, markets, restaurants, and shops, one of our two fully furnished apartments will be perfect for your next vacation. Apartments have separate entrances once inside the security locked, completely walled apartment complex.. Each apartment has easy access to a beautiful courtyard garden, pool with seating area and poolside bar and bbq. High speed WIFI available on-site.

1-Bedroom Apartment (sleeps up to 4) $280 USD/week

Each apartment includes a full-sized refrigerator, cook top, microwave, coffee maker, bottled water dispenser, all cutlery, cookware and utensils. Each apartment has ceiling fans
Bed linens and 2 towels per person are provided each week. Suites are cleaned weekly.
Unfortunately we are unable to accept pets.

Area Information

Located at the tip of the Yucatan, about a $35 taxi ride from the Merida Airport, Progreso is a peaceful and friendly beach town with a laid-back ambiance. The beaches of Progreso are clean and the water a lovely emerald green. There is no undertow so it is a pleasure to swim there.

Progreso has all the essential services including restaurants, hardware stores, supermarkets and a good hospital.You can find many restaurants on the "Malecon" (the pristine seaside promenade) and some include tables in the sand for those that want to feel the sand between their toes while they enjoy a delicious seafood dinner and a beer.

Q:Where are you located?

A:We are located in the heart of Progreso. Our apartments are 5 blocks from the ocean, and 5 blocks (or less) from restaurants, the native food markets, downtown shopping, artesan markets, grocery stores, medical and dental care and more. Our street address is Calle 29, #110, between Calles 72 & C 74.

Q:Do I need to rent a car?

A:Public transportation in Progreso is excellent. You can walk in Progreso to get to most places of interest. If you want to go to Merida (the big city), there is the AutoProgreso bus line that runs every 10 - 15 minutes. Taxis are readily available and extremely reasonable for other destinations . . .the beach villages, Mayan ruins, wildlife watching . . .just about anywhere you want to go, you can reach it on some form of public transportation.

Q:What is your neighborhood like?

A:Our neighborhood is a quiet residential area. All our neighbors are Mexican. Some of our neighbors speak English, but we're also a great place to become emersed in life and activities while speaking Spanish. You'll find our home surrounded by friendly, helpful, wonderful folks that all look out for their neighbors and their guests.
