We fell in love with this home the second we walked in the door. It was above and beyond our expectations! Photos cannot capture just how warm and cozy it really is. We enjoyed every minute of our stay during the holidays. The woodstove provides beautiful evening fires, the windows provide an excellent view of the river and mountains, and the kitchen has everything you might need. We enjoyed a visit from a young deer and an eagle. The owners went out of their way for us and had the house decorated for the holidays which we appreciated. The location is very private and quiet yet it is a short drive to get supplies. During our stay we visited LL Bean, Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor, local antique shops, and went shopping in Bangor. The local coastal towns are very charming. It is a place that we would like to return to regularly, so that we may enjoy it in all seasons.

This was a lovely house to stay in-very nicely appointed, owners were very accomodating and the location was great for traveling around the midcoast area. Highlights of our trip were Acadia National Park, the Farnsworth Museum [Rockland] and we loved the towns of Searsport, Rockport and Camden. All were a reasonable driving distance from the house. We would recommend this place for anyone interested in a place that is close to nature but also offers the flavour of down east Maine, points of historical interest and shopping nearby.

If you need to get away from it all, you need to stay at this wonderful home in the woods! It has all the comforts of home and much more. We loved it and especially enjoyed the privacy and views from the deck. You might even be treated to a visit from a beautiful bald eagle like we were. It's also a great area for running, bicycling, or kayaking. We highly recommend it!
