Secluded luxury oceanside villas in Puerto Galera

Two luxurious ocean side villas on the edge of secluded Dalaruan Cove, which is an offshoot of the main Puerto Galera Bay. The Villas can be rented individually or together. The Oceanside Villa has six bedrooms while the Boathouse has four to five bedrooms, all with en suite facilities. Each villa is rented in its entirety and not on a room-by-room basis, thus they are particularly popular with families and larger groups. The open terraces are extensive with dramatic views of Dalaruan Cove and Puerto Galera Bay. Costs are surprisingly reasonable, and discounts are available for extended stays. Most bedrooms have stunning wake-up views. The villas are a few minutes by boat from Puerto Galera town and the Sabang and La Laguna tourist /night life beaches. Food is not provided at the villas, but the housekeeper/caretaker will go marketing, buy the food - especially seafood - of your choice, and take care of cooking, housekeeping, child-minding etc. The cost of the villa includes a mirror sailing dinghy, a 2-person kayak, and a Hobie 16 catamaran. A 36' yacht (Farr 36' sloop) is also available for day charter at modest cost to include skilled boatmen. The caretakers take care of housework, shopping and cooking as required, and will gladly accompany guests on shopping or exploration expeditions to town or into adventurous jungle areas. A trip to the wet market with the housekeeper/caretaker is not to be missed! There is segregated accommodation for the caretaker staff at ground level in the Boathouse.

Puerto Galera was discovered by the Spaniards in the early 16th century as a safe haven for their trading ships during storms and typhoons. It is a peninsula located on the northern shores of Mindoro Island, some 130 km south of Manila and 14 nautical miles by water south of Batangas City. It is bounded on the north by Verde Island Passage, on the south by the Municipality of San Teodoro, and on the west by the Municipality of Abra de Ilog. Administratively, it belongs to the province of Oriental Mindoro. With some 42km of rugged coastline, the area abounds with stunning white sand beaches, tall cliffs, pristine coral reefs, dramatic diving locations, islands, and of course, a lively night-life. Puerto Galera Bay (which includes Dalaruan Bay) is considered to have the best natural harbor in the Philippines and is one of the loveliest in the world. It was internationally awarded “The Most Beautiful Bay in the World” in 2005, and is a protected National Marine Reserve. Both bays abound with fish and are protected by law.
