Description of the Puerto Morelos vacation villa rental

Centrally located in the quaint village of Puerto Morelos, our retreat provides spectacular ocean views from first and second floor living areas.

This is a private house divided into 3 apartments and extra tower bedroom - not part of a condo complex. No need to hire a car you can walk everywhere by the street or along the white sand beach.

The apartments are comfortably equipped with lots of windows providing outstanding views of the ocean assure excellent airflow through the house. You can walk right onto the beach.

Our airy and comfortable ground floor apartment has two bedrooms, two bathrooms. The living room is adjacent to the full kitchen and dining room opening on the pool and ocean side terrace.

The spacious one bedroom beachfront second floor apartment includes a separate bedroom, full kitchen, bathroom and a terrace overlooking the ocean. Take advantage of the tropical breeze, sway in a Mexican hammock and relax on the shady patio with breathtaking views.

The Pool casita - absolute beachfront self contained studio with own kitchen and bathroom .

The Tower Bedroom is an extra bedroom with own bathroom and stunning ocean views.

We can arrange airport transfers for you and a private driver if needed for excursions to Playa del Carmen or Tulum or Cancun. Snorkelling ,diving and cenote excursions can also be arranged. Private masseur can come to the house
or visit the Mayan jungle spa.

The apartments can be rented separately or together for family and friend's holiday get togethers.

Area Description

Puerto Morelos boasts the best of all possible worlds, beautiful National Maritime Park reef on our doorstep, small town with excellent restaurants, 20 mins to Cancun's intnl airport, 20 mins to Playa del Carmen and yet a world of difference awaits you. If you want peace and quiet, beautiful beaches and the opportunity for close by excitement when you feel like it, then this is your area.

Just off shore is the famous Great Mayan Reef, 2nd longest in the world, with fabulous snorkelling and diving. Great for birders here too.

Deposits: 50% deposit required to secure the booking, then balance of rental 30 days prior to arrival. PLEASE EMAIL ME ABOUT RATES as there are four separate areas in the villa that can be rented as well as having the whole property - the downstairs 2 bedroom apartment 1500 a week December 1st - May 1st, the pool casita USD500 per week Nov- Dec 1st, then USD800 to May 1st. The one bedroom is USD 600 to Dec 1st and USD900 - May 1. The Tower room December 1st - May 1st USD450
Other Fees: Security bond USD300 refundable after cleaning and inspection. AIR CONDITIONING and TAXES are included in high season rental costs

Great place for a relaxing vacation!, April 8, 2009

We spent 2 weeks at Casa Toucan and could not be happier with the accommodations, location and Michael was a great host! Casa Toucan is very, not seclued, but private and peaceful. The view from the balcony is exceptional! The beach is beautiful, and they keep it very clean everyday. It was fun to watch the boats come and go. Overall it was a great 2 weeks and we hope to go back next year. Thanks Casa Toucan!

We (two couples) rented the two bedroom apartment and found it to be the perfect "on the beach" spot. The orientation of each rental...ours, the one-bedroom, the pool casita, and the tower, provided for privacy but the arrangement of the units around the pool area allowed for socializing. Better than renting a house, and better than being in a cookie-cutter condo unit. Renting the entire Toucan would be perfect for a group of folks or extended family. The location is the best...half a block from the square, on the beach. The convenience to the market and the well-appointed kitchen inspired us to cook most of our meals. We usually make out of town day trips, but this trip we never ranged more than a few blocks from "home". We swam, snorkeled, read,napped, worked crossword puzzles together, cooked. We left our laptops and cell phones back in the states, and there was no tv. It was the most relaxing vacation I have ever had. Thank you Michel for the wonderful Toucan.
