Description of the Pullman vacation home rental

Only 2.5 hours from Chicago, this quiet lakefront year round retreat on Upper Scott Lake offers the perfect setting for a family or group of friends looking to relax, play, and reconnect in an idyllic setting. This large 3 bedroom/2 bath home on 2 wooded acres is bright and airy and is tastefully decorated in a Country French theme. Enjoy stunning views of the lake and beautifully landscaped yard from a comfortable chair in the large living room or from the huge deck under the massive old oak trees, and watch the sun rise on the water from the pier. In the evenings enjoy a camp fire and the star-filled sky down at the lakefront. The large family room on the lower level is great for watching movies or playing games, and the sun room provides a quiet place to curl up and read a good book.

The fully equipped kitchen has all new stainless steel appliances, double oven and 5 burner gas range, microwave, large refrigerator and dishwasher. Dine at the large antique French table that seats 8, on the screened-in porch, or "al fresco" at the large custom-built country table on the spacious deck.

This is truly a four-season retreat: it is equally beautiful as the new growth emerges in the spring, in full summer splendor, as the colors change in the fall, and the quiet snow covers the ground in winter.

Weekly rates are for 7 nights. Check-in is Saturday at 3 pm; check-out is Saturday 11 am.

Area Information

Upper Scott Lake is a sparsely populated, quiet inland lake in the country, but it is close to many unique places and activities. Visit the award winning Fenn Valley Winery and the famous Crane's Orchards and Pie Pantry, both 6 miles away in Fennville. Or shop and dine in the quaint tourist towns of Saugatuck and South Haven, only 15 minutes away. Enjoy the annual Tulip Festival and Farmers Markets in Holland, only 25 minutes away. Play a few rounds at the many golf courses nearby, or enjoy downhill and cross country skiing in the winter.

Michigan Use Tax of 6% of the total rental fee is due at the time of final payment. Maximum number of guests is 6 (including children) and one pet.

Summer fun in Michigan

We spent a wonderful week at this beautiful home. The property is beautiful. Very peaceful and private. Near enough to South Haven and Michigan farm stands and wineries. The house has everything you could want --- from a gourmet kitchen to cozy family room. We especially enjoyed the fire pit and the peaceful water. The only thing that would be a plus is the ability to rent a boat. Thanks also to Jill for her help before and during our stay. She was only a phone call away.

We had a great time at this quaint little gem in the woods. Very quiet and relaxing vacation for us and our grown children and twin grandsons. This cottage is every thing the pictures show and more. We loved the peace and quiet and had fun at the county park, West Side Park in Allegan County on Lake Michigan for Lake activities. We highly recommend this home and would go back in a "heart beat". The owners were very flexible and easy to work with on dates and terms of use.

What a beautiful place! The layout was perfect for our get away. The house is well furnished and supplied with kitchen tools. We celebrated a 50th birthday by cooking and hanging out for a long weeeknd. The only disappointment was that the beautiful fireplace was not functional. We would have loved to have a roaring fire. Everything else was perfect. The place is very clean and neat. If you have a family, the bedrooms are away from the main living space, so it's easy to let others sleep when others are awake. I would definitely rent this place again.

There were 5 of us for a rainy wine festival weekend. The cottage is beautiful and large enough that everyone had their own space. The view of the lake is fantastic. A couple of the ladies enjoyed the cottage so much, they are looking into renting it for a week in the summer.
