Lakefront with Private Beach & Dock: Sunset Beach
|Per night:||$140 - $560|
|Per week:||$950 - $2,975|
Enjoy the most spectacular natural beauty Michigan has to offer at this year-round 6-bedroom, 3-bath lakefront cottage situated on Upper Scott Lake, just 2.5 hours from Chicago and 3 hours from Detroit. This extensively renovated cottage is attractively decorated and is perfect for either families with children or a group of friends rekindling their friendship - all in a perfect country and lake setting.
The great room offers entertainment and dining options including island seating, dining table, or small intimate table that can also be used for card and board games. The comfortable leather reclining sectional is a perfect seating area to watch movies. The kitchen is well equipped and even has a mini refrigerator for kids to stock with their own snacks and drinks. The bedrooms are beautifully decorated, comfortable, and inviting. The screened porch is a great play area for kids, or sitting area for reading; it's also great for just looking at the trees while sitting in a rocking chair or comfortable rattan furniture.
The beach features the best hard sand bottom on the lake and is excellent for swimming. And it’s especially great for kids because it gets deep slowly – knee deep for 20 to 30 feet out. The canoe is a fun way to explore the lake. If you have a boat and want to use the dock, there is always someone you can call to help you for a small fee. The sunsets can be spectacular on the lake. A deck with tables for outdoor dining is a perfect place to enjoy a great view of the lake. A roaring fire pit is the perfect place to end the day while telling ghost stories and roasting marshmallows for s'mores.
Summer brings the fun of boating, swimming, picnicking, and relaxing. The autumn colors are spectacular around the lake and area. Enjoy the area's winter sports like skiing, sledding, cross country skiing, and ice skating. Spring brings the lovely colors of the flowers and leaves bursting to new life, invigorating your soul and mind after the long winter.
The cottage is 10-15 minutes away from Crane's Orchards and Dutch Farms, famous for delicious pies and fruit picking. On the way to the orchards is the Fennville Winery, offering tours and wine tastings. If you like antiquing, it does not get better than this - there are many antique stores within 20 minutes, either in South Haven, Allegan, Douglas and Saugatuck or along Blue Star Highway. In the summer dune rides are a blast and the South Haven beaches are gorgeous. Go fruit picking for cherries, blueberries, raspberries and apples in nearby orchards. Art galleries in the area offer wonderful selection to take home as souvenirs. Take your canoes and kayak to different lakes and rivers - but don't forget your paddles and life-jackets!
Upper Scott Lake is only 15 minutes from downtown South Haven or Saugatuck, and 25 minutes from Holland.

Reviews for this vacation home rental in Pullman, Michigan
Great "Girls" weekend for Big Birthday
November 19, 2014
We regularly stay in another home owned by the same lady on the same lake. We have never rented this home but the pictures made it look like a perfect location for a group of "girls". It was! Gorgeous home! From the huge, open concept, main living space with tons of windows for natural light, to the abundance of beautifully decorated bedrooms and bathrooms. Very clean, as always. We got an amazingly beautiful snow fall on our last day and the scene on the lake was lovely.

Our family very much enjoyed our stay at this lovely home. We had 10 adults and 1 toddler, and they all enjoyed the house, yard, and lake. No surprises - just as expected from the listing. A great spot for a family getaway!

A wonderful time was had by all
August 22, 2014
Our family got together from North Carolina, Indiana and Holland, Michigan to celebrate my Monumental (that means old) birthday. The grandchildren had a great time in and on the lake. We roasted marshmallows, told Two Truths and a Lie, and enjoyed each other's company around the fire pit. The canoe was kept very busy with many trips around the lake. The house was lovely with each room having its own individual character and there was plenty of room for all the activities. Nice to have the washer and dryer available for wet suits and such. We never turned on the TV nor watched a movie - too much to do and the weather was very nice. We definitely will come back if the opportunity arises.
Best reunion ever!

The sunset beach house was perfect for our gathering. Just the right size. The canoe was used for fishing and we brough kayaks to also use for enjoying the lake. We will certainly spread the word about this great spot to host a party.

Sunset Beach House was everything it was described

Our family of 11 including 5 under the age of 7 had a great week of fun. It took the little ones a little longer than I expected it would to get used to shallow water, but the bottom is hard packed sand and free of vegetation as described. Once they finally got in, we couldn't hardly keep them out. The fire pit was used nearly every night and some of the best pictures are of the kids with s'mores all over their faces. The cottage looks like it was built as a rental property, the 6 bedrooms and three baths were very adequate and then a large Great room with large dining table, game table, TV and kitchen all together was what vacations are all about.. I recommend this spot.

Our family spent a week in your lakefront home this past July and had a great time. The house was clean and spacious and very accommodating for 11 family members. The kids spent many hours outdoors fishing, swimming and playing in the sand. The contact people were very helpful making our stay a great family getaway!

The home is beautiful and very well equipped. The rooms are exactly as pictured and the 12 of us were very comfortable. The lake is small but there were so few other people out it was like having a private lake. The fishing off the dock for kids was perfect.

wonderful lakeside house

There is not much in the village of Pullman but the Sunset Beach House was a wonderful getaway spot for us to vacation with family. There were six bedrooms (2 king, 2 queen, 1 double, and 1 with two twin beds), three bathrooms, and a large open common area. Plenty of seating for large groups inside as well as outside. The dock provided an excellent place for fishing. We enjoyed the wildlife including blue heron, ducks, geese, a bald eagle, and muskrat. The place was clean and inviting. Although not much in Pullman, the Marathon station does stock many essentials, the house is also close enough to other cities such as Saugatuk, Douglas, and South Haven.

Our yearly couples trek to Michigan brought us to Pullman. This lakefront home had six bedrooms and three baths. The open concept kitchen/dinning area/living room was very large and welcoming. The bedrooms were very nicely decorated and comfortable. We had a wonderful time!! p.s. This home looked exactly as it did in the pictures.

Our Family Weekend Away
August 7, 2013
The home we stayed at was much better than I could have anticipated. The house was lovely with great lakefront yard. Grandkids had a ball swimming in our own private little beach with a lot of good sand to play in. They loved the canoe. Was a relaxing time away to enjoy family and all of us had a great time. One of the perks to us was the privacy to just enjoy and relax. The house was more than expected, beautiful, comfortable and so well equipped we didn't need a thing. Everything we could possibly need was there. What a lovely home and the pictures were not deceiving. The site I used to book the home was easy to use and navigate through out my hunt for vacation place and my booking. Even any questions asked came back quickly. I would not hesitate to book this home or use this site again.

There we 10 of us and there was plenty of room, great bathroom access, privacy and super "together" spaces. We loved the great room atmosphere. The view of the lake is beautiful. The property is well kept. The beds were very comfortable. The yard is really nice. I only wish there had been 12 of us, so the cost would have been a bit less for each. We had a number of 20-30 year olds and they just can't afford things these days. The kitchen space and supplies were great. We enjoyed the grill and deck. I wish we'd had more time there and could have used the fire pit. It rained or we would have also enjoyed a bike ride around the lake on the nice bikes that were available. All in all it was an awesome time and an awesome place to stay.

We vacationed with our two daughters, their husbands and our four grandchildren. The home was clean, beautifully decorated and accommodated all of us very comfortably. Each night we enjoyed the fire pit and the beautiful sunsets. We will return next summer.
Wonderful lake cottage!
October 14, 2012
My family stayed at the cottage on the week before Labor Day and we had a wonderful time. I have a large family and this house accommodated us really well(and the beds are really comfortable). The lake was really beautiful and we loved having access to the canoe. It is a nice location with lots of things to do in the area. Probably my favorite thing about the house is the open kitchen and family room with a beautiful view of the lake. My family had a wonderful time cooking and eating together!

This home is perfect for a friends or family get away, plenty of room for everyone. The fall colors were simply amazing around the lake. The home was very clean and cozy. I would recommend staying at this property during any season of the year as the options in the local area are limitless. We enjoyed our stay tremendously.

The Lakefront home was a nice place to stay. The home was very spacious for the 8 of us. Walking out on the porch to drink my morning coffee was perfect. My husband and our young adult children loved fishing off of the dock and riding in the canoe. My 14 year old and his friend enjoyed riding bikes as well. Watching the sunset was beautiful. We also used the grill and the firepit for smores. The location was great, we did not have to drive far to spend some time swimming in Lake Michigan and we bought fruit and vegetables at the local farm market. Great mini vacation for our family.

This house was terrific! Eleven of us stayed for the week, 7 adults and 4 kids aged 6 and under. The sandy beach was a nice size for the kids. The canoe allowed us to explore the lake and take in the scenery. The house is very well stocked with all the conveniences of home. The kids loved the shelf full of books just for them. Three bathrooms was a definite plus and double washer and dryers were nice. The screened in porch allowed the kids a place to spread out and play. The house is close enough to South Haven, Saugatuck and Holland to make a trip out to dinner or Lake Michigan very easy. It was the perfect place for our family to celebrate together. We would highly recommend this house for anyone looking for a great place for a family vacation.
