The great room offers entertainment and dining options including island seating, dining table, or small intimate table that can also be used for card and board games. The comfortable leather reclining sectional is a perfect seating area to watch movies. The kitchen is well equipped and even has a mini refrigerator for kids to stock with their own snacks and drinks. The bedrooms are beautifully decorated, comfortable, and inviting. The screened porch is a great play area for kids, or sitting area for reading; it's also great for just looking at the trees while sitting in a rocking chair or comfortable rattan furniture.

The beach features the best hard sand bottom on the lake and is excellent for swimming. And it’s especially great for kids because it gets deep slowly – knee deep for 20 to 30 feet out. The canoe is a fun way to explore the lake. If you have a boat and want to use the dock, there is always someone you can call to help you for a small fee. The sunsets can be spectacular on the lake. A deck with tables for outdoor dining is a perfect place to enjoy a great view of the lake. A roaring fire in the firepit is a perfect place to end the day while telling ghost stories and roasting marshmallows for s'mores.

Enjoy the area's Winter sports like skiing, sledding, cross country skiing, and ice skating. Spring brings the lovely colors of the flowers and leaves bursting to new life, invigorating your soul and mind after the long winter. The cottage is 10-15 minutes away from Crane's Orchards and Dutch Farms, famous for delicious pies and fruit picking. On the way to the orchards is the Fennville Winery, offering tours and wine tastings. If you like antiquing, it does not get better than this - there are many antique stores within 20 minutes, either in South Haven, Allegan, Douglas and Saugatuck or along Blue Star Highway. In the summer dune rides are a blast and the South Haven beaches are gorgeous. Go fruit picking for cherries, blueberries, raspberries and apples in nearby orchards. Art galleries in the area offer wonderful selection to take home as souvenirs. Take your canoes and kayak to different lakes and rivers - but don't forget your paddles and life-jackets!
