Villa Las Palmas is handicapped-accessible and overlooks the 14th hole of P.B. Dye's stunning La Cana Golf Course, located in an exclusive, gated community within Puntacana Resort & Club, home to Oscar de la Renta, Julio Iglesius and Mikhail Baryshnikov. This is paradise. The villa is situated on an elevated lot with sweeping views of the golf course from the rear terrace and private 40' x 20' infinity-edge pool with smaller zen pool fountain and cascade. The two main houses are separated by a landscaped walk and garden. Directly adjacent to the master suite is a private stone-walled garden with outdoor shower and hand-made tile jacuzzi. The property has exceptional landscaping including 21 coconut palms, 12 foxtail palms, 110 areca palms, birds of paradise, gardenias, ginger, jasmine, fruit trees and an herb garden.

This 4 bedroom/5.5 bathroom villa sleeps 10-14 and comes with a fulltime housekeeper. It is located 8 minutes from the airport and three minutes from the spectacular three-mile beach and sparkling torquoise waters of the Caribbean.

A perfect get away with friends!, November 10, 2009

What a perfect get away for a week with friends! We loved Las Palmas! The spacious and open layout of your home enabled the six of us to enjoy each other's company while providing plenty of personal space. We're already planning next year's trip and will probably add two more to our group! Mornings began early for some of us - enjoying coffee around the pool at 7 AM while others slept in. Breakfast in the outside dining area was always a treat - from amazing smoothies made with local mangoes, bananas, pineapples, etc to wonderful banana pancakes topped with fresh pineapple! A late morning swim in your beautiful pool overlooking the golf course often followed breakfast. Some of us then headed to the sparkling beaches while others spent the day on the golf course. There were short trips into town for fresh fruit from a quaint stand plus a visit to the large outside market where we purchased beautiful jewelry at a great price. We always reunited in the early evening for Happy Hour around the pool. Some evenings we then headed to one of the wonderful local restaurants, a short drive away, where we enjoyed excellent seafood. The night usually ended around the pool where the combination of pool lighting and the star filled sky enhanced our evening swims. It was hard to return home to dreary weather but great memories, my suntan, and plans for our return trip keep me smiling. Thanks for sharing your beautiful home!

February 12,2009 - I just returned from my third trip to Punta Cana, and I really enjoyed my stay at Las Palmas Villa. Unlike renting a house elsewhere, at Punta Cana you are at a great resort that has many restaurants and several beaches, which are only a five-minute walk from the villa. There are all kinds of things to take advantage of and enjoy, like sailing and kayaking. We did both. I have always loved the buffet breakfasts at the resort hotel; they are often the best to be had in the Caribbean. I thought that I would miss them this time around by staying at a house instead of a hotel. But no, we simply went to the buffet one morning--thereby having the best of both worlds. Zipping around in a golf cart is fun; the resort has special trails for them. Be sure to swim in the nature preserve fresh water pools. Bring your goggles and your bird book. There were six of us this time, making the villa more cost-efficient than the hotel...plus it was so private and luxurious...and the pool was all ours!

This is a special home with a nice blend of antiques and modern. It has top-of-the-line kitchen equipment. The live-in maid/housekeeper, a delightful woman, is a wonderful cook who is happy to do the laundry and all the cleaning. The house overlooks the golf course, which offers a beautiful view. It's relaxing to sit outdoors in the evening and look up at the night sky. The pool's fountain is lighted and is a delight to sit by, and inside the house is a special Zen pool area where you can converse and solve the world's problems after dinner.
This place is truly spectacular and a GREAT value.

January 22, 2009 - Having recently stayed at Las Palmas, I can testify to its unique charm and exquisite decor. Awaken to the sounds of the wildlife singing, swooping and tapping that latin beat. Feel like a princess with the full service staff constantly attending to your every need. Relax poolside or hit the beaech...a beautiful 5 minute walk from the house takes you to deserted white sand beaches that go on for miles beside the caribbean sea that has stunning shades of blue and green.

The villa is ideally suited to people who want privacy and luxury and who know how to enjoy themselves.
