Area Information

This hassle-free home has all that is needed to truly enjoy yourself. It sits on a canal leading to Charlotte Harbor, which spans to the Gulf. It is within a short walk to the Peace River Wildlife Center and Ponce De Leon Park. A slightly longer walk will take you to many other delightful attractions; including Fisherman’s Village, an award winning tourist attraction and marina, Historic Downtown Punta Gorda, containing a myriad of shopping selections and Gilcrest Park, great for walking, jogging, biking, tennis, fishing, gazebo, picnics and it even has a small beach. Punta Gorda is also home to an International Sailing school, Twin Isles Country club, and is a short drive to some of the most beautiful Gulf Beaches.

Nice And Relaxing

March 17, 2013

Spent two weeks here in January. Internet and cable TV worked good. Could have used a larger screen TV. There were no major problems. House was clean and ready to use when we got there. House is close to many things like parks and city. Owner is very friendly. Canal is nice. Very peaceful. Weather was great, but of course that was just our luck. :)

Relaxing Week in Punta Gorda

My husband and I rented this 2 bedroom house in Punta Gorda for 9 nights around Memorial Day Weekend. We live in Palm Beach County and were looking for a quiet, relaxing getaway without having to travel too far. It fit the bill exactly. The house itself is clean, spacious and well appointed. It has everything you will need. The pool is nice, the hot tub is awesome. The dock was sufficient for our 18 foot boat. There were a few things that kept me from giving this property 5 stars. The cable is BASIC ( I was never able to find the channel guide). Not a huge deal but I love tennis and the French Open was on! Also, there is no internet. In some ways it was a nice break but it also would have been nice for checking weather, etc since we were doing a lot of boating. The ride from the house to the harbor on the canals was about 20 minutes. It was a just a bit long. And it would be really nice to have a small dining table on the screen porch. :-) Again, none of this would prevent us from renting the house again, just a few things that would make it 5 stars!
