Coast/Beach
The beach is called Praia do Ancao, which is 1km away.
Walking distance 10/15 minutes. Can also be reached by car.
Lovely walk through the pine trees of the Ria Formosa Natural Park area. You can walk to the Vale do Lobo beach (Julia's) restaurants etc. or to the Quinta do Lago. Lovely long stretches of sandy beach, some areas with life guards and loungers (local charge).

Golf
Between Vale do Lobo and Quinta do Lago (approx. 3 km).

Travel
Faro airport is 20km away, which will take you roughly 20 minutes drive. A car is essential.

Distances
Nearest village is Almancil - 5km where you can find a very good supermarket and restaurants and all other amenities including Internet Cafe. The lively District Town of Loule - 10km, where you can find everything you need, including the famous Saturday market! Closer to home you can go to the Quinta do Lago Shopping - 4km, with very elegant boutiques, restaurants, supermarket, bank, etc. There is also a small supermarket in Dunas Douradas ( 1 km ) and a bigger one on the road to Vale do Lobo ( 2,5 km ) open 7 days a week.
