I will try to give you all the personal attention you need for an enjoyable vacation here in New York City. There are a few room alternatives to choose from at this location so I can normally tailor an accommodation for your needs. The top floor has 2 sets of twin bunks in one room, a twin bunk and a twin in another, and a twin over full bunk in the third. The 1st floor has a room with a queen bed and a room with twin/twin bunks and a full-size bed The open basement has several bed arrangements that can be used to sleep up 8 persons You can rent anywhere from a private apartment with a private bathroom to a bed in a shared room.. No matter what the room type, you can always relax throughout the apartment as the accommodations are as your own home during your stay here.
The basic rental is for 1 BR in a small 2 BR apartment. Access to the kitchen, living room, backyard, and front porch in most arrangements..
Some things to consider:
* great neighborhoods with a true NYC neighborhood feel that most tourists never get to experience.
* many fantastic ethnic restaurants and eating alternatives just steps away
* within 1 1/2 short city blocks of NYC's unparalleled mass transit system. You can be in Times Aquare in 15 minutes.
* kitchen for cooking in if you want to cut on eating costs
* living room with HDTV and 100's of channels to choose
* free use of computer with internet access and capability to use your wireless laptop to access the internet
* wonderful supermarkets close by and always nearby 24 hour availability for a variety of food choices.
Keep in mind that the common living space (bathroom, living room, kitchen) is shared but you do have the option, if available, to rent an entire 2 BR apartment or a bedroom with a private bathroom at additional cost.
The bottom line is you won't be disappointed here. Great places and great values!!!
Neighboring Long Island City has many wonderful and endearing characteristics as well. It boasts a well known graffiti park where graffiti artists have displayed there some wonderful arts. There are also several landmark blocks there as well. It is up and coming with several hi-rises now that offer stunning Manhattan views and there are many new and nice restaurants popping up to coexist with a few old-time favorites. LIC is a quick one stop from Manhattan on the number 7 line running 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

My family and I had the great pleasure of staying at the Sunnyside apartment in Queens. Our host, Louis, is an extremely generous and genuinely nice person. The apartment is the perfect size for a family of 8! Or you could rent out just a single room. The location is great because it is 3 minutes walking distance to the 7 train and the neighborhood is beautiful as well. We always had everything we needed, never missing a towel or toilet paper! Even the beds themselves were delightful and so comfortable! It has a very homey feel to it, like you've been living there your whole life, which is a refreshing alternative to another boring hotel room. I would recommend this apartment to anyone!

My 2 friends and I stayed in the Sunnyside location and we had a great experience. Louis's place is very comfortable and he makes you feel very at home. The location is very close to the subway, and from there the 7 line takes you right to times square in about 15-20 mins, so it wasn't too hard to come back to the place to drop off anything we didn't want to carry around all day. Louis is very friendly and we had a great time staying with him, and getting to know him.

So many "best" things about this place. The host Louis is just the best of hosts he can't do enough to help and make you feel at home. The apartment bis in a great location so near a subway and 24 hour supermarket filled with lovely food . The price we paid allowed us to have more "spending money " to spend on the tourist sites , Would definitely come and stay again ... already planning the next trip !! All in all a really friendly place with all the home comforts ... beds really really comfy ... just perfect for the end of the day in NYC. Lashings of hot water for showers ... lovely and warm in the aprtment too Great stay . going home too soon

I do recomend this property!!!! Louis and his son, Chris, couldn't be more helpful and nicer. I travelled with my daughters and we felt at home there. The apartment is very well located (2 blocks far from subway; 7 stops far from Grand Central), in a nice area surounded by supermarkets, restaurants, drugstores and all kinds of facilites to fit our needs. If I ever go back to NY, this is the place where I will stay. Thanks Louis and Cris. Qdo eu retornar a NY, voltarei a me hospedar la. Obrigada Louis e Cris!! Sheila

Me and my brother in law visited New York for six days and were looking for a cheap apartment. This apartment were just perfect for us. Louis and his son Chris were very friendly and helpful to us and we did not have any problem at all sharing the common living space of the apartment with them. I think we got a true feeling of how it was to actually live in NYC and not only be a tourist on Manhattan. The Sunnyside area had everything we needed and the apartment was well equipped. Taking the 7 train to Central Station was very convenient. Borrowing Louis bikes is something we really can recommend as we were able to see many parts of NYC and Brooklyn by bike. Thanks you so much for everything Louis!

My boyfriend and I traveled to NYC for thanksgiving break and stayed in Queens, NY which is only 10 minutes away from manhattan via the subway. Line 7 takes you straight to Manhattan! It was super convenient and easy. We definitely got the true feel of what it would be like to live in New York. You do not have to stay in overpriced Manhattan in order to go to NYC. We stepped out of our comfort zone and are glad we did. We would definitely stay here again, not to mention Louis and his son were absolutely warm and welcoming! Wonderful experience!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks Louis!

Me and my girlfriend are just back from a 6 week stay at this property and it was outstanding. Its in a great area with lots of places to eat and things to do, it has great and quick access to Manhattan via the train and there are plenty of supermarket around. As for the apartment it was very spacious, the kitchen contained everything you could possibly need, the living room is big with a huge TV that has cable and the entire place was spotless. The owner Louis was a fantastic host and even took us on a bike tour of New York on the bikes that are in the apartment which was an incredible was to see the city. I could not recommend this enough to anyone visiting New York.
