Cozy Rooms and Beds in Landmark NYC Row House

Unique accommodations here in New York City. In the landmark neighborhood of Sunnyside Gardens we have a 2-family townhouse that we just acquired and offering rooms or beds to travelers vacationing in New York City. We are only 1 1/2 blocks from the subway and there are 3 bus lines within the same distance. Sunnyside is wrought with retail shops and many fines places to eat. The subway ride on the very reliable and safe number 7 Flushing train is only 14 minutes to Times Square. There are bicycle paths that will take you all the way to the Roosevelt Island Tram on 60th Street and 2nd Avenue in Manhattan. I have timed my ride there at 13 minutes.

I will try to give you all the personal attention you need for an enjoyable vacation here in New York City. There are a few room alternatives to choose from at this location so I can normally tailor an accommodation for your needs. The top floor has 2 sets of twin bunks in one room, a twin bunk and a twin in another, and a twin over full bunk in the third. The 1st floor has a room with a queen bed and a room with twin/twin bunks and a full-size bed The open basement has several bed arrangements that can be used to sleep up 8 persons You can rent anywhere from a private apartment with a private bathroom to a bed in a shared room.. No matter what the room type, you can always relax throughout the apartment as the accommodations are as your own home during your stay here.

The basic rental is for 1 BR in a small 2 BR apartment. Access to the kitchen, living room, backyard, and front porch in most arrangements..

Some things to consider:

* great neighborhoods with a true NYC neighborhood feel that most tourists never get to experience.

* many fantastic ethnic restaurants and eating alternatives just steps away

* within 1 1/2 short city blocks of NYC's unparalleled mass transit system. You can be in Times Aquare in 15 minutes.

* kitchen for cooking in if you want to cut on eating costs

* living room with HDTV and 100's of channels to choose

* free use of computer with internet access and capability to use your wireless laptop to access the internet

* wonderful supermarkets close by and always nearby 24 hour availability for a variety of food choices.

Keep in mind that the common living space (bathroom, living room, kitchen) is shared but you do have the option, if available, to rent an entire 2 BR apartment or a bedroom with a private bathroom at additional cost.

The bottom line is you won't be disappointed here. Great places and great values!!!

My location is Sunnyside Gardens which is just East of neighboring Long Island City. Long Island City borders the borough of Manhattan separated only by the East River. Sunnyside is next to Long Island City and a fabulous residential enclave. It is the closest to Midtown Manhattan of all the purely residential communities outside Manhattan. Most places in Sunnyside would be a good choice, however, the sections North of Queens Blvd. are generally more desirable. The section North of Queens Blvd, known is Sunnyside Gardens, recently earned Landmark status for its unique set of characteristics. There are numerous ethnic restaurants and eateries and a glut of supermarkets closeby. Prices are steeply discounted here over the prices you would find in Manhattan so you could literally save hundreds of dollars on a vacation in this area. The apartments are pretty spacious and have architectural appeal. As you travel East from Sunnyside(away from Midtown) you will find Woodside, Jackson Heights, Elmhurst, Rego Park, Forest Hills, and Kew Gardens among several other Queens neighborhoods. Sunnyside Gardens is a quiet and safe neighborhood and truly has the charm of the New York City neighborhoods of years ago. If you want the most of your New York City vacation, Sunnyside Gardens is a great place to stay!!!

Neighboring Long Island City has many wonderful and endearing characteristics as well. It boasts a well known graffiti park where graffiti artists have displayed there some wonderful arts. There are also several landmark blocks there as well. It is up and coming with several hi-rises now that offer stunning Manhattan views and there are many new and nice restaurants popping up to coexist with a few old-time favorites. LIC is a quick one stop from Manhattan on the number 7 line running 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
