Our waterfront villa is beautifully situated in Rainbow Bay, a predominantly vacation home area on the sun-soaked island of Eleuthera, in the Bahamas.

Tastefully and comfortably furnished, the villa is the perfect location for a romantic retreat for those seeking seclusion, or the perfect location for families.

Paradise Point is on the Caribbean waterfront, catching welcomed breezes and ensuring guests enjoy spectacular uninterrupted sea views, it is impossible to describe just how blue the sea is.
The sea is roughly 6 - 7 ft deep from the back of the villa allowing guests access for swimming and snorkelling to seek out the resident tropical fish hiding amongst the rocks, Dolphins have been also been spotted.

The main, Rainbow Bay beach, is minutes from Paradise Point and also on the Caribbean side. It's a sheltered beauty, one of the best beaches on the Island we feel, for children as the water is shallow and calm. Reefs, only feet from shore allow easy viewing of the many species of fish and to ensure you catch a glimpse of this stunning underwater world.

The Atlantic Ocean is a short drive over the hill to the other side of Rainbow bay. Exhilarating, is best to describe this side of the Island, rough, deep blue sea, brisk breezes and quaint beaches, cruise ships are occasionally seen after dark in the distance

Eleuthera is the most populous of the out islands with a scattering of fishing villages situated up and down the coastline.

The Eleutheran chain has some of the finest and most un spoilt white and pink sand beaches in the entire Bahamas, making this the perfect location for a romantic vacation, a honeymoon in paradise or for families to explore the many deserted beaches.

The island architecture is predominantly quaint colonial style homes in pretty pastel shades.

A drive along the Queens Highway is an experience in itself; at times one can see both the calm Caribbean Sea on one side and the Atlantic Ocean on the other.

Rolling hills, breathtaking beaches and the gin clear seas ensure you have an unforgettable tropical vacation.

The island, a 20 minute flight from Nassau, 50 Minutes from Fort Lauderdale & Miami, is truly a relaxing getaway.

Eleuthera’s temperatures average 68 to 86 degrees F during the day. The official currency is the Bahamian dollar which is on par with the US$ and both are accepted.

There are three airports on the island, regularly served by commercial airlines from Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and Nassau. Among these are Continental Connection, BahamasAir, Southern Air Charter and Twin Air. The nearest airport to us is Governor’s Harbour, 20 minutes, North Eleuthera, 40 minutes.

From the UK, British Airways flies every day except Monday and Thursday direct to Nassau from London, Heathrow.

British Airways, American Airlines & Virgin Atlantic fly London-Miami daily. Connections to Eleuthera can be made at Nassau, Fort Lauderdale or Miami. There is also a reliable ferry service to Eleuthera from Nassau, The Bahamas Fast Ferry.

The place was excellent for a quiet holiday with the best view of the ocean with nothing obstructing your view. The best part for us was that we could fish off the rocks. Another great thing is there's a beach basically next door with benches and cabannas, just perfect for a bbq or picnic. The lay out of the house is great especially since it has sliding glass doors in all bedrooms and the living area. There is no shortage of a great view for certain. This was the best place to watch the full moon rise at night....absolutely beautiful and breath taking for me. Sunsets are just as gorgeous. Also having a washer and dryer was very convienent since I had my little boy with me. The holes along the rocky shoreline was most fun for my little boy, he could splash for hours at a time. I would say that by far this is the place to go if you really want to relax but still feel in a home environment. Just a minor issue is that you have to ask to have your garbage removed.
