Beautiful lakeside cabin with scenic mountain view

The property consists of 40 acres and approximately 4,000 feet of shore frontage on Saddleback Lake. It is the only construction on the lake. The remainder of the property, about 80%, is owned by the Saddleback Ski and Lake Preserve. They have about 12,000 acres. We have an agreement with the ski area and all can use the trails (x-country skiing, biking) that go around the lake and to the mountain as well as the use of the entire lake shore.

Saddleback lake is in front of the cabin about 100 +/- feet away and there is a small dock in front. To our left, in the middle of the property, there is a sandy beach with a large dock and raft. Our cabin has a screened porch with 2 comfy chairs for relaxing and enjoying the view of the lake.

Sorry, but absolutely no pets are allowed or motors on the lake: this includes snow mobiles.

Renters must be respectful of the peaceful atmosphere of the area and abide by the rules of the Saddleback Lake Association as well as federal, state and local rules (a copy of the Saddleback Lake Association Rules will be distributed to potential renters).

Amenities: Dishwasher, stove, microwave, garbage disposal in sink, toaster, coffe maker, complete cookware, dinnerware, silverware, outdoor gas grill, telephone, satellite TV,DVD, boats (canoes & rowboats), washer & dryer, tennis, table tennis, beach, screened porch, hearth stove viewing wood stove, bathroom with bathtub/shower downstairs and a bathroom with shower upstairs, bath towels and sheets.

Enjoy scenic mountain views from this 4-season modern lakeshore cabin nestled at the edge of private Saddleback Lake in the Rangeley Lakes region. This quiet, pristine mountain and lake area is noted for its panoramic views and the abundant wildlife. Deer, Moose, Loons & even an Eagle, among other forest animals, are seen regularly.

There is always something to do in the Rangeley Lakes Region. Activities include canoeing, swimming, fishing and tennis. The property offers immediate access to hiking, biking and x-cross country trails. It is located just minutes away from Saddleback Ski area and approximately 40 minutes from Sugarloaf USA ski area. Snowmobiling is not allowed on the property; however snowmobile trail access is nearby. There are two local golf courses in the area.

The Appalachian Trail goes across the top of Saddleback mountain which offers a 4,000-foot, 360-degree panoramic view. The cabin is also great for relaxing on the porch and watching the hummingbirds while listening for the call of the loons in summer, or simply curling up with a good book by the fire in winter.

Saddleback Lake is a private community. There are approximately 40 cabins/cottages on the lake. This lakeside community was originally established back in 1898 as a lodge catering to summer tourists and the fisherman who came seeking the great trout fishing for which Rangeley is famous.
