Description of the Rangeley vacation home rental
On the West Shore of Rangeley Lake, this renovated lake front privately owned house is located in the famous Rangeley Lake Region. The house is just steps from the Lake and enjoys spectacular mountain views . Renters will enjoy dining inside or on the picnic table on the lawn. The lawn area is flat and perfect for childrens' play or lawn games. An L-shaped dock allows you to moor your boat and swimmers and waders enjoy small private shallow and fully protected swim area.

Summer guests enjoy fishing and boating from the dock while Winter guests enjoy snowmobiling right on to the lake from the front yard. Early risers love the beautiful sunrises.

The first floor layout is open to allow views of the lake from the kitchen. On the first floor there is a large eat-in kitchen along with the open living room and large windows overlooking the lake, the deck and the front yard. The rest of the first floor contains a bedroom with a queen sized bed and a full bath.

The kitchen is fully equipped and a new front loading washer and a front loading dryer were added in 2012 for renters’ personal use.

Pets are permitted on a case by case basis after discussion with owner. An additional damage deposit would be required.
Area Information
The house is within a short walking distance of the Village of Oquossoc and approx 8 miles distance to Rangeley. Boating, Swimming, Snowmobiling, Biking and Fishing can be enjoyed at the house while golfing, hiking, skiing , shopping and antiquing are near by. The town of the Rangeley features shops and restaurants as well as a museum, a movie theater and a library.

Rangeley boasts two golf courses and Saddleback Mountain, a well known Alpine ski resort with a highly rated learn to ski and board program. A growing cross country ski facility offers trail access year round. Seasonally visitors can enjoy Nordic skiing, hiking and snowshoeing.

During the summer months, renters can enjoy a variety of festivals and art offerings. The Town of Rangeley Parks and Recreation Department offers activities and programs for younger children. The Rangeley Public Library, the Rangeley Guides and Sportsmen, and EcoVenture all offer excellent summer programming for children. One need not be enrolled for the entire summer to enjoy this programming.

Deposits: Stated rates are for 8. The house sleeps10 - an additional $75/person will be charged. A deposit of 50% of the total is due immediately w/ the final 50% due 90 days before arrival. The deposit will be returned if the reservation is canceled at least 90 days before arrival. If the cancellation occurs less than 90 days prior to arrival date, the deposit will be returned less $175. If the reserved time is rerented for the same rate, the amount of the deposit less $75 will be refunded.

Other Fees: All reservations will also include a $500 damage deposit. The damage deposit will be returned within 21 days of the last day of the time reserved should everything be as it was found and no damage or loss is detected. on a case by case basis, and subject to a $500 damage deposit per dog and a $100 cleaning fee, the owner will consider the faithful family dog. Considerations include age, breed & size. Dogs are not allowed on furniture and may not be left in the house alone unless crated.
