We had a lovely week at Loon's Call this past week. The lake was gorgeous and peaceful, house was very well appointed,clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the kayaks,canoe and nice warm lake water. They wild life was a delight to listen and watch for. We saw the loons from a distance,a ?golden eagle and heron. I'd strongly recommend this wonderful home for a qiet and comfortable get away. The only negative experience we had was one 1 day when close by neighbors a few houses down and across the street were shooting guns in their back yard (?into the woods but hard to tell) on Friday while my kids and I were out walking -- very distressing. This only occurred one day and went on for less than an hour. Maybe we're suburbanites, but that doesn't sound like legal or safe activity in a residential area.

My husband and I just spent a lovely week at Loon's Call! The cottage is well equipped as described. For most of the week, there were just the two of us enjoying the tranquility of the lakeside setting, starting our days with kayak jaunts that included watching the (very tame) loons feeding their two young chicks and taking afternoon dips off the dock in the refreshing (but not cold) lake water. Over the Fourth of July weekend, our three children and friends joined us; there was ample room for all and we enjoyed the view from the deck while playing board games. We had great weather all week, but if there had been a rainy day we would have enjoyed a cozy fire; no need to bring a book - the cottage is well stocked with books and magazines. The lake was very quiet mid-week. The weekend was busier, and noisy at night with fireworks for three nights - a bit much for our nervous dog, but still better than leaving him at home! Loon's call was great. We were even entertained by a pair of loons and their two newly hatched chicks. We chose this location because of its listing as being handicapped accessible. The access was ok but not perfect. getting down to and then out onto the dock needed a lot of assistance. The bathroom was only just doable for me. Any one with a slightly wider chair wouldn't have been able to get through the doors. While I appreciate the 'accessibility' listing, it would be great if some more details could be provided.
