Description of the Raymond vacation home rental
Relaxation takes over as you pull into the driveway and see the lake water of beautiful Thomas Pond. The clear water is almost always calm enough to waterski, tube, kayak or just watch the loons and fishing is excellent. The waterfront has a 20' dock that is 5' deep at the end, the swimming area has a sandy bottom. This lake is a mile across or better and is 62' deep. It is extremely clean as it is spring fed. There are two kayaks and a canoe for paddling and going on an adventure. This lake has wonderful sunsets behind Mount Washington which are spectacular. There is a convenience store within walking distance. The cottage has wood floors and tongue and groove walls. This is a year round home so the walls and ceilings are insulated. The kitchen has common appliances. There is also a small deck overlooking the lake with a small gas grill. The private waterfront patio is concrete and has comfortable chairs to help enjoy the day. there is an island off to the left that is a nice kayak paddle for beginners. This is a neighborhood so it is a nice short walk to the neighborhood sandy beach. Evenings are enjoyable as there is a small portable fire pit for a campfire while watching the sunset and making s'mores. Excellent Restaurants, night clubs and yes a drive-in theater are within driving distance. Also, Golf, skiing, hiking and shopping, north conway and Freeport outlets are only a short drive. The mall is 25 minutes away as is the airport. The cottage itself has a full kitchen, two bedrooms, living room, and a breakfast nook for eating, reading or playing a game while looking over the lake. Wireless internet and cable TV are also included.
This is great location as the lake even at the busiest time of day only had 3 boats. Unless people are fishing, the boats here are people who live on the lake. Raymond is located between Naples and North Windham. There are plenty of restaurants, night clubs and shopping. There is a great little ice cream shop in Raymond called "Mosquito" and they are extremely reasonable and the ice cream is wonderful.
