Description of the Raymond vacation cottage rental

EMAIL FOR NEW DISCOUNTED AUGUST AND FALL RATES! Our special vacation home, located only five to ten minutes off Rt. 101 in a very quiet resort community, is a lovely free-standing "tree home" cottage, attractively furnished, with an expansive outdoor deck that includes a private hot tub.

The cottage consists of a cozy living room, full kitchen, bedroom, and large full bath on the first floor, as well as an apartment-sized washer/dryer off the bathroom. There is a loft above, which contains two twin beds and other bedroom furnishings. Down the spiral staircase is a small room with a futon and a twin bunk above. There is a propane gas log fireplace/blower and wall-mounted heater/air-conditioner in the living room for your comfort, as well as electric thermostats in the sleeping areas. As an added bonus, there's even a typically "whispering" stream down an embankment under the cottage deck where the young ones can look for frogs, not to mention the deer in residence on the property.

All linens are provided. A security deposit and a cleaning fee (unless you choose to carefully clean yourself) will be charged.

The property is surrounded by 180 acres of woods and meadows -- so tranquil -- and is actually part of a resort that is presently very minimally developed, but operational. There is a lakefront beach and dock, rental canoes for use on the on-site Scribner River and on Onway Lake, common rec house, seasonal outdoor swimming pool, tennis courts, horseshoe pits, etc.

Located only 20 minutes from Manchester airport, our cottage is roughly situated (triangularly) between both city and mountains and mountains and ocean. Quaintly restored Portsmouth, with its rich maritime history, is within a 40-minute drive, as is the state's capitol, Concord. (Just over the bridge from Portsmouth, you'll find a variety of outlet stores and great shops and restaurants in Kittery, ME.)

The lovely oceanside community of Rye Beach is only 35 minutes away, and Hampton Beach, with its amusements, is located an additional 5 minutes from there.

 Charming, quiet and relaxing, August 5, 2008

Two my friends and I stayed there for a whole month! This is a perfect vacation cottage for a few friends or a small family, or if you are just looking for a change of scenery. It has a nice deck with a beautiful view of woods and a river, and an outdoor hot tub on the deck. It is clean and has supplies and appliances like clean towels, sheets, coffee maker,dish washer, dryer and washer...etc. There is a pool and community center with 5 minutes walking, and a beach about 10-15 minutes walking. We had a great time at the pool! It is also a close drive to the highway but we definitely cannot hear any traffic. The landlords are also responsible and wonderful people who made sure everything works and gave clear instructions before we moved in, and they were accessible during the time of our rental for questions and concerns. We all felt lucky having found this place =)
