Nice place

Nice cabin, clean and not far from the lake. Lake itself was beautiful and we had a fantastic time!

A-Frame Rental at Raystown

Wonderful A-frame near Raystown lake. Close to the lake. The cabin had a nice size bedroom with queen bed and a bunk room with full bunks! not little bunk-size beds. The living room was a nice area with a full refrigerator and everything you need to cook for yourself. The website shows a charcoal grill but it has a full gas propane grill on the deck for your use. For the price you can't beat it. It is in a very nice neighborhood which we actually took walks. Very safe area! would definitely go back again.

Close to everything

We went to Raystown Lake for the mountain biking, and we were so pleased with how close this cabin was to the two main trailheads. We could leave the cabin and be on the trails in about 5 minutes. It's also really close to the park and marina. The location of this cabin is superb! Another thing we liked about this cabin is that it is not surrounded by other rentals, which kept it very quiet and private. The grounds are gorgeous with a fire ring you can't see from the road and a beautiful deck overlooking the woods surrounding the cabin. We look forward to staying here again soon!

mixed impressions; nice hosts!

the living area is charming and gorgeous: love the big windows; love the floor. the bedrooms and bathroom are kind of the opposite. we chose to sleep on the pullout in the living room so that we could enjoy the moon. two surprises for us included the fact that there's no oven and no bathtub. with a toddler, we needed to plan better for that. we also never found towels so came home for those. (plenty of sheets and whatnot, though.) with adjusted expectations, i would probably stay there again (the host was really sweet when we locked ourselves out!), though hubby won't because the bathroom was so cramped (hard to for a tall person sit on the toilet b/c the sink is so close). love teh proximity to the mountain biking, and the views are nice too! we would like to buy this little place and do some work on it!

AWESOME!!!!!!!

We had an awesome time and we are looking forward to renting from you again. We had plenty of room and the location couldn't be better. Even though there were 4 cabins on your land we had all the privacy we needed. We also appreciated the extra paper products supplied to us during our stay and Linda was a very pleasant person to work with. We are hoping to see you soon again. William Sherlock

Home Away from Home

This little A frame was quite comfortable and was well stocked with everything we needed. It was reminescent of the weeks I stayed at my grandmother's cottage as a kid. If you are looking for something modern with satellite and internet access, this is not the place for you, but if you are looking for a quiet relaxing retreat it is perfect! It is in a beautiful setting high in the mountains with a large yard and is so close to Raystown Lake that it only took about ten minutes to leave the house and have the boat on the water. For us this was the perfect compromise between camping and a hotel. The only reason I didn't give five stars is because the grill is more like a smoker so it takes forever to cook, and a few things could stand to be updated like the radio which had a defective volume button. These are things that are minor, and we just might be back next year.

great house, wonderful host!

The house is small, but comfortable. Catherine was great about our accommodations and made our stay very inviting and clean. We had a poetry retreat there. We spent the days reading at writing in the yard or at the nearby lake, made dinner in the galley kitchen, and at it at the great picnic table on the small porch next to the front door. Make sure to stop at Fat Freddie's barbeque while you are there!

Very Nice A-Frame

This is very nice, well furnished cabin. It is semi private and sits back off the road in a wooded area with a large grass front yard. The bathroom is very small, the bedrooms and kitchen were adequate, and the living room was large and comfortable with a small dining area next to the kitchen. There is a TV, but no cable and no working antenna. There is a DVD/VCR player. The VCR works fine, the DVD player however freezes up and stops playing. The cabin owner was a pleasure to deal with and has everything you need except for your food of course. We enjoyed our stay !!!! In our opinion, the cabin is most suited for a couple or a family with small children, it would not suit six adults, its just too small. So if your a couple or small family this cabin will work and its only one mile to the Seven Points Marina at Raystown Lake!!!

Great Cabin

4 of us stayed in this cabin. It is small but comfortable for 4 adults. The owners do a great job of providing everything you need.

Beautiful and peaceful

The cabin was clean and very quiet. The cabin owner was gracious and accommodating. We had a great time and hope to do it again real soon.

satisfied

We were pleased with the location of this cabin and what it had to offer. We were happy that it was dog friendly. The negative was that the air conditioning was not enough to keep the place comfortable during the hot weather. Possibly utilizing blinds for the main windows would help to keep the hot sun out. We would stay there again.

Beautiful and Relaxing!!!

We just spent 5 days in the cabin and had a great time. Our daughter and dogs had lots of fun too. It was so nice to be able to bring them along. The house is so close to the lake. We went on the beach and had the boat out. The owners and their sons were very nice and accomodating. We will definitely be back. Hopefully soon!

Quaint Getaway

The cabin was a perfect location for boating from Seven Points. We were very excited to be so close to Lake Raystown and not be in a tent. We were especially pleased with the grassy area to keep the boat and still have plenty of room for the kids to play. We also liked the open living room, which gave the three kids room to play.

Overall nice place

The house was very roomy, and comfortable for 4 of us. The air conditioning had a hard time keeping up during the day, but evening and sleeping was very cool. Very private, nice place to sit out side and enjoy the early mornings, evenings. Great that we could bring our dog along. Very close to the lake and convenient. Properly owners very nice and easy to work with. We would stay in this house again, but would have to bring a toaster to use for breakfast. Grill prvided made it is to cook out. Had a great time.
