Our two nite stay was fine. For all the lamps a brighter light bulb needs to be placed.
Thank you for submitting your review. Cabin #3 is scheduled for lighting upgrades to our ceiling lights. I'm not sure whether we could put brighter bulbs in the lamps due to the suggested maximum wattage. This cabin has more shading from the sun due to both a front and back porch. We are also aware that many people close the blinds on every window for privacy and that tends to make it dimmer inside. We are continually working to improve our cabins and appreciate your constructive input.

Great time in Raystown PA.
August 9, 2014
Me and my friends stayed at a cabin in Raystown pa. We all had a great time. The cabin was excellent. The cabin was filled with anything that we needed and more. The rooms were excellent. The cabin was also located in the woods and was isolated. That made it even better. That's what camping Is all about. We enjoyed spending the nights around the fire making s'mores and hot dogs and then going inside to watch a movie. The entire experience was very enjoyable and something I will never forget.
Excellent place to stay
July 7, 2014
I've stayed in a lot of hotels, cabins and campgrounds but this one was different. I felt a million miles away, so peaceful, but in reality I was 10 min away from everything. The cabin was great. Everything we needed and more. I'm so pleased I'm trying to cancel our Chicago trip so we can stay here again. This is the only place I will stay when at raystown.

We had great time there. Cabin was clean inside and outside. Main reason why we pick this cabin was that we have German Shepard Dog. He is big boy and big dogs are usually not welcome anywhere. But this place was perfect, pet friendly without discriminations. We will be coming back for sure.

Had a wonderful time !! We stayed in the 1 bedroom cabin and it was all we had hoped for. We would encourage anyone to enjoy Linda`s cabins. Everything was as she said it would be and she was great to work with. Our trip was shortened because of a medical emergency with my mother however we hope Linda will welcome us back in the near future for another enjoyable stay. Thank you for a great stay Don & Bonnie

great location but could use more common sense amenities such as hooks on doors, hangers, kitchen towel. Also, don't see need for king size bed if it can barely fit into bedroom. Would rather have a small surface to keep clothes on. And definitely need a decent CD player. Yes, we would consider renting cabin again (since it was cozy, and private and allowed dogs) especially if above mentioned items were provided.
Hi, Chris. The rooms in our cabins are smaller than we'd like and closet/dresser space is not something we can add. We have a king bed in each large cabin because many people have them at home and we want them to be comfortable. We do not provide CD players. If you meant DVD/VCR player, I was not aware that there was a problem with it...sorry if you had trouble. We feel $129/night on a Fall weekend to sleep 8 people is a good deal. If you wanted an upgrade, others charge $180-$250/night.

Great Raystown Vacation
September 22, 2013
We were really happy with our visit and accomodations at Warrior Ridge Getaways and the Raystown area. We're definitely going to consider a return trip next year. Thank you. Joe Ziegler
Joe, thanks for taking the time to submit a review. Glad you had a great time, despite a very soggy Saturday. I hope you were able to take advantage of the late check-out on Sunday, as it turned out to be a beautiful Fall day. Please do keep us in mind for your next vacation in Raystown Country!
Quiet vacation retreat
August 26, 2013
We enjoyed our 2 night stay at Warrior Ridge. It was great that we could check in early. The road to the cabin is stone and straight up so if you are pulling a big boat you probably would have difficulty. We were pulling 2 jet skis and had no problems. The electric company had just come along and sprayed the weeds near the power line so there was some dead foliage around which took away from the beauty of the area but that wasn't the owner's fault. The area was so peaceful and quiet. We stayed in the 2 bedroom cabin and my only complaints were the lack of lighting (I think ceiling lighting would have helped tremendously) and the bathroom which only had a small stall shower. For a 2 night getaway, it was fine! There was a front porch and back porch as well as a fire pit that we took full advantage of to enjoy the peace and quiet. It is a short ride to Raystown Lake which is very beautiful and a short ride into town for food. If I were coming for a short stay, I would definitely stay here again!
The power company just had their right-of-way cleared by chainsaws. It would have looked better and made their job easier if they waited until fall. One of our projects on the short list is to update the light fixtures in the living room and kitchen. Due to space limitations in the bathroom, there is no way to increase the size of the shower. Our large cabins have showers with full tubs. Although our driveway is gravel, people who have 4-WD drive vehicles don't have problems hauling boats.
Our first trip to Raystown Lake
August 8, 2013
Our family recently stayed a week at this cabin. The location is great is you like being away from it all yet only a close drive to stores. The kitchen wasn't equiped as well as we thought it would be. We had to go buy pans to use in the ovens and pot holders. We didn't have room to eat at the kitchen table since we had to store our food and kitchen items on it. There is not much counter space to store things. Thankfully there was a nice picnic table outside that we ate our meals at. It was nice to have cable tv and a dvd player for the one rainy day we had. Beds were comfortable and our daughters enjoyed having the upstairs room all to themselves. I was a little nervous at night having them sleep upstairs because there was no smoke detecter installed up there. We loved the lake and Trough State Park. They were only a short drive away..
Thanks for sending your comments. We will certainly add a smoke detector to the upstairs bedroom. It is surprising that no one else has mentioned it over the 15 years we have been in business. And even more surprising that we didn't think about it! Our kitchens are limited in space and I wish we had more room to work with. Grilling and dining outdoors is the better way to go, weather permitting. Most people don't do much baking but we will add some casserole dishes, etc. for future guests to use
Perfect for Raystown stay
June 11, 2013
Four teachers celebrating the end of another school year. We mountain biked, kayaked and fished Raystown Lake. The cabin had everything you need for a weekend stay, chairs, firewood, fully stocked cooking utensils, as well as bed and bath necessities. Linda was very helpful and offered us more time at the end of or stay. We will be sure to book this cabin again next year. Thanks for a great stay!

Found it to be very relaxing and suitable for our needs, if bringing a boat look at the site first so can find a way for turning around, I asked about it and found it much more difficult than led to believe and my boat is only 18'. But extremely satisfied and will return.

I loved our cabin rental over the first week of July. The cabin was perfect and I loved it because it was secluded and had enough room for my dog to run outside. The cabin was clean and suited me perfectly! I will defintely want to rent this cabin again in the future!
April 6, 2012
The cabin was sufficient for our weekend fishing trip. Nothing elaborate, but got the job done. Clean, hot water, heat, and hot meals. Realtor Linda White was there to make sure we had everything we needed. Downside; cabin could use more interior lighting. Also, if your towing a boat, it's a little tight turning around.

We rented cabin # 2 for the weekend, absoultly loved it, beautiful inside, fully equipped, and located in a peacful area. We could not have asked for more, and will be returning again in the future. Would recommend to anyone/everyone. Linda was very helpful/ professional/pleasant.

We rented Cabin #1 which was the perfect size for my husband and I and our two dogs. Really liked that they provide sheets and towels(less packing for us!). We have vz access for internet and got 5 bars in the middle of the woods at this cabin! Cabins had full size fridge, microwave, stove, etc. Would suggest one of the other 3 cabins if you have a larger family.

For the price, you really can't complain. Very nice location to stay when you are with other families or other couples. We rented 3 out of the 4 cabins. The 2 bedroom that we stayed in the living area was smaller, but the other cabins had a larger living area. Nice quiet peaceful area

Cabin was clean and private. Realtor was pleasant and changed our cabin to one with a tub for my huband who is an amputee. road in was a little rough and ceiling fan would have been nice in bedroom. I would definitely rent again.

Spent Our Anniversary Weekend At The Cabin. Nice, Quiet Place To Get Away. I Was Really Suprised How Well Supplied The Place Was. Very Happy With Our Stay And Would Do It Again In A Heartbeat. The Only Recommendation I Have Would Be Better Lighting In The Bathroom. Very Nice And Helpful People To Deal With.
We had a great time
October 7, 2010
This is a great rustic cabin with all the comforts you need for a nice get-a-way, especially for two. The drive way to cabin three is pretty steep, so be prepared. :) The Raystown Lake area is wonderful and beautiful and this cabin is in a GREAT location, espcially if you want to hike or hit the MTB trails.

Peaceful cabin with all the comforts of home. Centrally located. 10 min to lake and restaurants. Going back next year and bringing family.

What a great place to stay! We just returned from renting cabin #4 at Warrior Ridge. It was very affordable and the property manager was very quick to respond to our emailed inquiries. They were very dog friendly, which was a great bonus-- it is so hard to find places that actually welcome pets like Warrior Ridge does. The house was well stocked with many amenities, including comfy beds and a nice couch and TV/DVD/VCR. The amenities outside were great too-- a fire ring, picnic table, charcoal grill, and plenty of chairs for sitting around the campfire. It was less than 5 minutes to the lake and we really enjoyed the logging trail. I highly recommend a stay here!!

It was the perfect getaway for two. Everything we wanted was there or within a very short drive. The lake is only a few miles and other attractions are less than 3o min. drive. The cabin was very clean. We stayed in the smallest of the cabins and would suggest it for two because of the size. The other cabins are larger and would handle more people comfortably. We would stay again and are currently talking to other couples to plan a longer stay next year. Thanks Linda for all your help in renting this cabin.

There were several different cabins available from this source. We chose the smallest cabin since it was just the two of us. Everything about the place was "as advertised" and everything exceeded our expectations. The proximity to the lake and other attractions, the quiet, secluded nature of the cabins, and the reasonable cost are three features that commend this vacation spot for anyone's consideration.

Rental agent very cooperative. Very comfortable cabin...bedrooms are a little small but great for sleeping. Cabin was very well equipped with much that was needed for the weekend. Night atmosphere was great with the fire pit available. Would definitely rent again.

The area in which the cabin was in was really nice. The cain itselfs was terrific. It was so beautiful inside. We are planning for another trip down soon.
I just wanted to thank you and tell you what a wonderful time we had at the cabin. It was just what we wanted for a quick get a way. The fishing was great at Raystown and we even saw a bear. Alex Barnhart
Hubby says we will definitely be coming the last week in July. Also, we are going to try and make it up there for one more weekend before it snows. And we will probably try to book a few times before our July vacation. David enjoyed it so much that he is willing to give up a trip to a football game to come there. That is saying something.
We had a lovely stay at the cabin and will recommend it to anyone traveling to Raystown. It was very quiet and had all the conveniences necessary. Have a wonderful summer!
Regards, Susanne Moore
I wanted to thank you for a great weekend get away. We enjoyed the cabin and the fire pit. Your cabins are in a great location. Hopefully we will get a chance to come back.
Thanks again, Robin A. Suloman

I just wanted to thank you again for letting us stay in your cabin. We had a GREAT time and we couldn't have picked better weather. I can't wait to go back, but when we can spend an entire weekend there. It was so peaceful and relaxing. Exactly what we both needed. -Deb Stauffer
Thank you so very much for everything! We had an excellent time and the cabin was beautiful. What great weather for the 1st of November. We will definitely be coming back soon!
We rented a cabin last year and really enjoyed it. We have stayed at other places in the area and found yours to be the most pleasant experience.
Thank you for a great stay. The fishing was poor but we really enjoyed your cabin.
Thank you. Your place was great!! We will call you for next year.
As before, thanks again for a wonderful place to stay.
Thank you for everything. We had so much fun and we are looking forward to our next stay. Everything was fine.
We were just saying that, of all the places we've stayed at Raystown, yours is the best.
