This place is so beautiful! We loved our long weekend here! The pool/ping pong table kept the kids content while we soaked up the serenity of the surrounding nature. The house is well-equipped with all the comforts of home to help take the hassle out of packing. Do yourself a favor and enjoy a trip to this cabin rented by very hospitable people!

Bears den is an amazing rental property. We have rented this property several times and each time is an awesome experience. The property is beautifully decorated and has every thing you could possibly need.We also love how clean the home is which is saying a lot since I'm picky about that. The home is very comfortable and we are never in any way dissapointed. We are always very happy to rent this home again and again so I think that says it all.One last thing to say is how friendly the home owners are.My husband and I highly recommend this rental property. We very much enjoyed our stay at this house. Owners were very nice in helping us with any questions or concerns that we had prior to, during, and after our trip. Highly recommend this home. There were 5 of us there, 4 over the age of 18 and plenty of room for all. The walk down and up to the lake was a bit of a haul, but from my understanding that is the norm there. Neighborhood was very quiet and beautiful. Would definitely book it again!
Great Place to Stay

We rented the Bears Den for a long weekend. Arrived on Friday and left on Sunday. This place is fantastic inside and out; its beautifully decorated; showers had great water pressure, we played pool and ping pong downstairs in the basement; house is very spacious; supplied with everything you need. The Bear's Den is gorgeous, inside and out. We have stayed here with extended family and with three small families. It's great for kids, an easy drive to all the attractions in Raystown, and a peaceful place to stay. The kitchen and living area fill with natural sunlight, and the screened porch is a great place to dine or read. The owners are wonderful hosts, as evident by the thought they have put into furnishings, decor, and supplies. (Each time I visit I notice something they owners have added to the kitchen supplies. You will not find yourself thinking "Darn, this place needs X." They even thoughtfully provide a spare propane tank for the grill! Meal preparation is a pleasure, as a result. We love Bear's Den!

You will love the Bears Den and will want to go back again and again. It's perfect for a romantic weekend, girls' getaway, or guys' fishing trip. Lots of room! Love it!
There has never been a place we stayed that felt like home but this cabin is the exception. It is home away from home. We love coming here each year and making new memories. This year we spent a full week verses a long weekend. We spent time up in State College/Penns Cave and a day hiking at Trough Creek. We spent a lot of time down at the lake at the end of the road. The Shanks are wonderful people and always so friendly and helpful. We couldn't imagine staying anywhere else. Thanks for another wonderful visit!

We had the best vacation in years. So much relaxing and food. My kids had a blast swimming, fishing, tubing, skiing,. Absolutely love the screened in porch. Thank you for sharing your home with us. My parents were so happy for the extra family time. Hopefully we will be back soon!
Your cabin is so cute and all I can say, you call it a cabin but it's not like any cabin we've ever been in. "So much better". We loved everything about the cabin. Well supplied, beautiful decorations and very clean. We had a wonderful time and want to say thank you for sharing your place.
Thank you for allowing us to enjoy your beautiful home. It is adorable and tastefully decorated! We especially enjoyed the screened in porch.
