Description of the Readfield vacation cabin rental

This remarkable cabin is situated on a heavily wooded lot populated with mature hemlock. You will enjoy privacy, ~200'+ of lake frontage and a beautiful view while grilling on the uniquely designed screened-in porch. This cabin sits close to the water's edge. You can fish from the dock, explore Torsey Lake by canoe and relax around a campfire. Features such as 100% pine bead-board interior, campfire pit, wood stove, full modern kitchen and appliances, gas grill, good water, shower, telephone, cable T.V. w/VCR and wireless high speed internet (BYO notebook) make this cabin a great value. Clean towels, dishes, kitchen utensils, bedding and firewood will be provided. The cabin has a large 14’ x 17’ loft which sleeps 2 (one double bed) plus a convertible divan downstairs in the living area which sleeps 2 and additional sleeping on the screened-in porch. Other arrangements may be possible – please inquire if interested. A refundable damage deposit will be collected. No smoking inside the cabin please. Check-in: 12pm, check-out: 11am. Other rental periods may be available. Please inquire about customized rental periods, other check-in/out times or multiple week discounts if interested. Lodging Tax: 7% for short-term rentals NA for long-term lease
Deposits: Rental payment in advance plus $700 refundable damage deposit. A $200 pet deposit will apply if applicable.
Other Fees: Cancellation over 30-days in advance (of scheduled check-in) cancellation fee: $150. Less than 30-day advance notice cancellation fee: 50% of 1st week. Less than 7-day advance notice cancellation fee: 100% 1st week. No-show/no-notice: 100% of first week plus deposit. Square stern canoe rental daily/weekly with or w/o 4HP outboard (please inquire). Renter is responsible for any pay-per-view or long distance telephone charges incurred during rental period.

This is a great place to come to after a long hard week at work. It is peaceful, calming and rejuvinates. The fishing is great. I have landed many large mouth bass right from the dock. It is a great location for day trips to local tourist sites i.e the state house and the fort along the Kennebec river.
