Area Description
South Redondo Beach and the Riviera Village is the best kept beach secret in the LA area. There are dozens of restaurants. For breakfast alone, there are 10 places within 3 blocks.
There are also 4 supermarkets in a 3 block radius, the post office, about 60 shops and the beach is only a block away.
There is public transportation to the airport area and from there transfers go everywhere in LA. There is also an express bus to downtown on weekdays.
if you have a car, drives along the Palos Verdes are great for an outing, or go shopping in Torrance or North Redondo. 15 minutes to Manhattan Beach, 20 minutes to the airport. About 1 hour to downtown and Hollywood. About 40 minutes to Santa Monica.
many local restaurants, some chains. many outdoor dining opportunities. All budgets - also family style restaurants. Great Mexican, all american, steaks, pasta, Japanese, breakfast places, coffee shops, surf shops, gym, banks, supermarkets. It's all there.
