34 Virginia Avenue ~ The best of the best!!! Summer of 2013 weeks are going FAST!!!!!! Weeks in May, August 31st and some September weeks are available.
Location, location PLUS right in the heart of downtown Rehoboth Beach! Located on a dead end street at the corner of 1st and Virginia in North Rehoboth, this historical home is one of the finest rentals available. It comfortably sleeps 16.
The house features:
- Listen to the waves hit the shore at night.
- a 60' x 8' tastefully furnished screened porch w/ tables for eating and games.
- off street parking for 6 vehicles
- large, fully equipped, eat-in kitchen
- full laundry room with front loading, high efficiency washer and dryer
- formal dining room
- large living room complete with a 42" Flat screen LCD TV and DVD player
- master bdrm has 2 Queen beds, a large bath with 2 sinks, tub/shower, make-up area and dressing room on the first floor.
- Bdrms 2 & 3 have 2 Queen beds each and vanity sinks with make-up lighting on the second floor
- Bdrm 4 has 1 Queen bed with vanity sink and make-up lighting, on the second floor.
- Bdrm 5 has a dbl futon and a 32" TV on the second floor.
- up stair bath is large with 1 sink and a tub/shower
- outside shower with hot & cold water
- AC is individual wall units - heat is electric baseboard.
- Everything you could want is furnished except sheets and towels. Each bedroom is equipped with comforters, mattress pads,pillows,and a clock radio. (Blankets are supplied in cooler months ~ late September through mid-May)
- views of the park and Lake Geriar from the back of the house and yard.
Area Information
Everything imaginable to make your vacation a success is within a few short blocks of your door - bike rentals, kiddie rides, arcades, video store, internet cafe, and food to suit any palate. You will find some of the best restaurants in the area within four blocks of the house.
A short drive north on Rt. 1 will take you to over 140 outlet stores for TAX FREE shopping - just 5 - 10 minutes away. A water park, movie theaters, and some of the finest golf courses are also just a short drive up Rt. 1.
Rehoboth is truly a magical vacation destination for young and old - a wonderful place for family reunions.

great place for a family to gather

This house is an easy walk to the beach as well as to the shops and restaurants, plus it is near a pond where we enjoyed seeing the birds and walking our dog. The house also accommodated us nicely on our rainy day, for games and visiting, whether in the comfortable living room, spread out on the fantastic porch or around the dining room table for board games.

We had a wonderful stay at this house! So much charm and well maintained property. We loved the wrap around porch and the yard too. Easy walk to the beach, shops, and restaurant. This was a casual, laid back home that was unbeatable for location. It had been in the owner's family for two generations and you can tell many great memories must have been made there. Simple, non-fussy furnishings and stocked with basic kitchen supplies; however, because it was so close to the beach and main street, we spent most of our time away. Overall, a great value!

Perfect Weekend, Perfect House

I rented this property for a long weekend in September last year because a girlfriend of mine was getting married and she wanted a low-key beach weekend with her friends from college. I had never rented a house before OR been to Rehoboth so, needless to say, I was nervous. But Joy was so helpful and accommodating that she put me completely at ease. In addition, the house was spacious and well-equipped. The grill was really handy, and the kitchen had all the tools we needed to cook all our meals. The house is located on a quiet street but is only 1-2 block from the beach in one direction and 1-2 blocks from the main street in another. The screened-in wraparound porch was perfect for card games, afternoon naps, and late night conversations. Everyone was thrilled that they got their own room and the beds were very comfy. We had an amazing weekend, and I couldn't have been happier that I chose to rent this house. I can't wait to do it again!

Great house for an extended family

We had three generations of our family together in this house. The large porch was great for the 3 toddlers. Each of the 4 bedrooms had lots of capacity. The kitchen and dining room were great for a family who likes to cook and eat together. Lots of parking and an easy walk to the beach, the boardwalk, and downtown shops. Owner was very accommodating and cooperative. Highly recommended.

This is an exeptional vacation property. Located close to the beach and center of town, yet it retains a quiet charm. It had everything we desired for a week at the beach - including ample space for children, family and poodles. We can't wait for our return trip this coming year.
