Completely renovated 1890s historic Schuyler house, is oriented southward on a knoll overlooking a year round waterfall & stream. Eight rolling acres filled with black walnut & sugar maple trees surround the mansion, privacy without being secluded, minutes to the Village Of Rhinebeck...
Six old friends from various corners of the US reunited for a week of relaxed sight seeing in the Hudson River Valley. We agreed on the farm house in Germantown. The house accommodated three couples nicely, plenty of room to share and enough space to escape one another when necessary. The house was clean and comfortable, location perfect, a mere 10 minute drive to Hudson. The farmhouse kitchen has a large island where we could all sit for dining and conversation. The privacy the home offers and the vista from the back of the house are the best features. The view is spectacular, forget your cares and woes kind-a-view. From the comfort of the kitchen or back deck we saw flocks of wild turkeys, geese in flight and a herd of deer in the early evening. A view of the Catskill Mountains that would rival a picture postcard. For anyone looking for an escape I give this house an A+. The company of old friends didn't hurt either!
