The experience begins as soon as you park your car and proceed across the custom steel bridge. A short trail takes you past a whimsical swing set and to the front door of this beautiful home. If you glance to your left, you may notice a beautiful chandelier hanging from old growth trees. After crossing the river rock patio, you enter into the great room, with cathedral ceilings, a wood burning fireplace, and beautiful views of the forest. The radiant in-floor heating warms your feet through old-growth floor that was sustainably harvested onsite from fallen lumber.
The bathroom features a walk-in shower with French doors and a river rock floor, and the downstairs bedroom has a comfortable queen sleigh bed with top quality organic linens.
The entire upstairs is the master bedroom. It has an open layout with views of the forest, lots of daylight, a Gustavian-style queen size bed, and antique claw tooth bathtub.
For the chefs among you, gourmet meals are an every night possibility with the brand new Viking stove and hood that will arrive by Thanksgiving!
On 24 private acres and surrounded by protected wilderness in the Bull Run wilderness, you have plenty of space to explore. A variety of private trails meander through the forest. In late summer, the forest fills with huckleberries, and in fall you can harvest all the delicious chanterelle mushrooms by the basketful.

Don't go here unless you want to relax, get away from it all, see beautiful scenery 24hrs of the day. No TV, no cell reception (there is a land line), no internet - just you and your spouse. Very comforatable beddings, nice claw foot tub, candles set up for use all around, rustic style interior but not cabin like, romantic. Plan to eat in because it is a shame to leave such a beautiful place. Where are the neighbors?.......can't see any of them, not even close. You are alone in the middle of forest and running stream but not far from civilization. Be aware that there is only a wood burning stove for an oven so plan accordingly. For the adventuresome you can use the wood burning stove but there is also a portable two burner electric for pan frying. An upgrade in cooking alternatives would be nice. River rock bottom in the shower looks nice but hard on your feet. If going in hot time of summer bring a fan, no screens on windows (that would mar the view), no a/c. Not all perfect but 5 stars never the less. Met the owner (he had installed a new refrigerator), he was very nice. Wouuld I go here again? You betcha.
