Description of the Roatan vacation home rental
The Blue House is nestled on the South West shore of Roatan, the largest of Bay Islands, about thirty five miles off the northern coast of Honduras in the west end of the island community of Flowers Bay and just steps from the clear Caribbean waters offering a quiet getaway with spectacular views as well as the world class scuba diving and snorkeling that Roatan and the Bay Islands are known for. There is a walkway with steps to the sea providing access for swimming, snorkeling or scuba diving when the seas are calm. The more touristy areas of West End and West bay are just a short two to three mile drive or cab ride away for those times when you may desire a little more excitement and when your ready it is quick and easy to come "Home" to your island house
The Blue House has two bedrooms, each with a queen bed and full bath located on the second level of the home along with decks front and back for either ocean or hillside views. Upstairs to the third level is the fully equipped kitchen with all the necessities, the living room with ocean and hillside views, the dining area with spectacular ocean views and a feeling of almost being over the water and there is also a half bath on this level.

From the third level we head upstairs to the widows walk which is approximately four and a half stories up providing views and cool breezes for a great place to spend time with that cup of fresh ground Honduran coffee, that after dinner drink, or any time in between

Other Vacation Rental Amenities
Up until recently Roatan was considered off the beaten path, Somewhat unfound diving just waiting for the explorer. Somewhat recently that has began to change with more cruise ships and visitors finding this small western Caribbean island. With more visitors comes more things to do. Along with the great diving and snorkeling that helped put Roatan on the map there are now some other activities to supplement the water based adventure. There are opportunities to ride a "zip line" canopy tour over the tree tops in a few places around the Island. You can hike many trails around the Island, some very nice ones right at the house and others in places like Carambola Botanical gardens in which a 30 +- minute climb up this mountain leads to the top of the island where you can see the incredible view of the pristine Caribbean coast. There are hundreds of species of wildlife, birds, trees and herbs to experience, some native to Honduras. If you feel like traveling a short drive just head east towards French Harbor along the main road in French Key and you'll arrive at Sherman Arch's Iguana Farm. Come early afternoon if you want to watch and participate in the iguanas feeding time. This is great fun for the children who want to see dozens upon dozens of iguanas in one area. You may also want to visit the Roatan Marine institute for a dolphin swim/ snorkel encounter, Or, you might just want to relax with a beverage of choice on one of our decks and enjoy the tranquility.
