Description of the Robbinston vacation chalet rental
Rental Terms: $200 reservation deposit required.
Balance due 30 days prior to arrival.
$200 refundable security deposit is due along with remainder payment for damage/excessive cleaning costs.
Check-in 3:00 PM Saturday, check-out 10:00 AM the following Saturday.
Area Information
The chalet is only 12 miles away from the seaside village of Eastport with its many ocean vistas, restaurants, and maritime excursions. From Eastport visitors can take the ferry to Canada's Deer Island, and from there board a ferry to mainland Canada. Campobello Island, also part of New Brunswick, Canada, is reachable either by ferry or a 40 minute drive, where visitors can tour the historic summer home and grounds of Franklin D. Roosevelt, now an international park.
Other notable locations close by include Cobscook Bay State Park, Pembroke's reversing falls, the tidal beaches of Mill Cove, and the Moosehorn National Wildlife Refuge.

Fabulous week downeast!

Our first experience renting was a fantastic one! The Chalet has everything you could need (cooking tools and beautiful surroundings) and some things you just want (pool table and hot tub)! We have a 5 and almost 14 year old and they both felt right at home. The location is awesome for taking a detour to Eastport, Lubec and over the border to St Stephen and St Andrews. Do expect to have to drive a bit to get supplies but the full wall of windows that looks upon the most glorious lake sunrise makes the drive a small sacrifice. We had very good weather with just one full rainy day. The lake front is very shallow and sandy, perfect for little ones. We saw eagles, loons and a nightly "swim-by" from a beaver. If you like to run/jog, there are several nice routes (expect some hills!) from the camp. We caught plenty of fish right off the dock in the evening. I am not sure we could top our first experience by staying anywhere else for the dollars. This vacation rental is a paradise away from home!!!

Annual Fishing Trip

A group of my friends get together and go on a fishing trip in Maine. We have stayed in several different locations throughout the years in Maine. The house was well equipped. If up in this area again I would rent this house for another time. Nice size house for 6 guys fishing. Nice view of the lake. Only down fall from a fisherman with a bass boat, no electric at the dock for charging batteries. However I was aware of this prior to arriving at the chalet. I was informed that the dock is close by to pull the boats out if needed. There was plenty of driveway space at the house for the vehicles and boat trailers to be charged overnight. A nice size dock can handle three boats easy. A good fishing lake. There is also a nice 9 hole golf course close by.

We were extremely pleased with the condition of the cabin and the facilities provided. Being from New York State we are unaccustomed to having to drive 15 mile or more to get anything, but we soon adapted to the Maine lifestyle. The people are extremely friendly and helpful which is also a change from here at home. We had a wondeful trip.

We're from Holland (Europe) and we've seen most US states over the last years. For our first trip to the North East we selected this Cedar Chalet on Boyden Lake. We stayed a week there last July. Thanks to Google Earth we were able to find it.... It really is a lovely place. Tastefully decorated, clean and all the necessary equipment one might need during a holiday week (for our teenager girls SatTV is a necessity....). We took the canoes for a trip on Boyden lake, our kids spend several hours around the basketball board and on the only rainy day we ran a pool (table) competition. The area is very rural, but a good starting point for trips to Acadia NP, Canada of instance Campobello or for a Whale Watching Cruise from Eastport. We really enjoyed our stay!

Wonderful Vacation

The chalet was just perfect for us. There was stuff for us to do all the time, the kayaking was great, it was my first time and so enjoyed it. They have thought of everything. It is so close that we spent alot to time in Eastport. The weather was perfect and to have the beauty of the sun rising over the lake with your morning cup of coffee was breathtaking. We got to see a couple eagles while sitting on the deck. We would definitely recommend this to our friends and we would stay here again if back in the area. You couldn't ask for more.

PERFECT! The chalet is truly GORGEOUS! We had an absolutely amazing time. There was plenty of room and so much to do; kayaking, swimming, fishing, playing pool and just sitting on the deck and simply relaxing while enjoying the wildlife. The owners have really thought about everything and there wasn’t anything we wanted for. A cup of coffee while watching the spectacular sunrises over the lake made for a wonderful start to the day! At day’s end, without city lights to distract from their presence, the sky comes alive with billions of stars. The nearby Bay of Fundy is a beachcombers dream come true. We found fossils, sea urchins and so many other various shells along its shores. The huge tides are an experience not to be missed. Jasper Beach in Machais was great for rock hounding. There is so much to do off the beaten path in the area that we simply could not do it all in one week! We will most definitely be back! Our week was even better than we had anticipated.
