Looking for that great get-a-way cabin in the mountains that provides privacy and seclusion with mountain views too? Boulder's Bluff is situated on approximately 17 acres of mountain land where you are free to hike and enjoy the woods, wildflowers and gorgeous views of the mountains and Lake Santeetlah. This 3 bedroom cabin is only four tenths of a mile off Joyce Kilmer Road on a private gravel road. The spacious living room has a vaulted ceiling, woodburning fireplace and knotty pine paneling for that warm & cozy mountain home feeling. The main level also features 2 bedrooms, 1 bath and a large kitchen / dining area. The upstairs has a bedroom, half bath and a roomy loft area that overlooks the living room downstairs. This loft area can also serve as another living room or play area. Boulder's Bluff is a great place to come home to after an adventurous day in the mountains, with the rocking chair porch, open deck and firepit in the front yard to enjoy an evening campfire roasting hot dogs or marshmallows & sharing stories with family or friends.

To begin your outdoor adventures, you're only a half mile to a wooded walking trail that leads down to the shores of Lake Santeetlah where you can enjoy swimming or fishing. If you want to bring your boat, you're only 1.6 miles from a free boat launch facility on Joyce Kilmer Road known as Avey Branch. Lake Santeetlah is a pristine mountain lake (reservoir) with 76 miles of shoreline and 80% of the land around the lake is managed by the U.S. Forest Service. Hence, it isn't populated with lakefront homes and is truly a great recreational lake that is one of the best kept secrets in the Smokies... The private roadway to Boulder's Bluff will accommodate trailers up to 16' in length and is also suitable for experienced motorcyclists. Just minutes away from Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest. Named after the poet Joyce Kilmer who wrote the poem "Trees"; this forest is a virgin timber forest with trees over 400 years old, easy hiking trails to enjoy the cascading mountain stream, giant trees & wildflowers. The Cherohala Skyway, a designated National Scenic By-Way that provides scenic mountain views of wilderness country at elevations over a mile high (5,280'+). So pack a lunch, enjoy the scenic drive, stop at one of the many picnic areas & scenic overlooks and perhaps hike one of the many hiking trails to enjoy sites that can only be enjoyed by foot such as the hiking trail to Hooper's Bald. The views are truly spectacular!! If you're coming to the area during the special water release dates to raft or kayak the Cheoah River, a class III & IV+ whitewater river, Boulder's Bluff is approximately 1 mile from the parking area below Santeetlah Dam for rafting on the Cheoah River and approximately 2 miles to the launch area on Hwy. 129. The cabin is conveniently located to all outdoor adventures including hiking trails, trout streams for fly fishing, mountain biking at Tsali Recreation Area, the Nantahala River, a more family friendly whitewater rafting & kayaking river, gem mining, Stecoah Valley Cultural Arts Center & local artisan studios.
