Relax, feel at home and enjoy your stay in the Smoky Mountains at this charming 3 bedroom, 2 bath cottage with a country decor. Each bedroom offers a different decor & theme from trout fishing to a patriotic red, white and blue. The Great Room is truly a "great" room for family and friends to gather and enjoy a cozy fire in the woodburing fireplace, create a delicious meal while watching TV or listening to your favorite music or playing games. This comfy retreat offers a screen porch, open deck with porch swing and back yard for a family cookout and dining at the picnic table. Hidden Valley Country Cottage is one tenth of a mile from a paved county road on a private gravel road. The cottage provides a semi private setting and has ample parking for vehicles, boats & trailers. An experienced motorcyclist will find it very easy to travel in and out of this area even with the gravel roads!!

This cozy, comfy cottage is located in the Stecoah Valley area and is conveniently located to all outdoor adventures, scenic drives & artisan studios in Graham County and the surrounding area. Stecoah Valley Cultural Arts Center is a few minutes away and offers a local artisan gallery, which is open daily, plus great Appalachian style entertainment on Saturday nights during the Appalachian Evening Concert Series held during the summer months. You can even call ahead and make a reservation for a delicious homecooked country meal which is served at the center before the concert begins. Fontana Dam, Fontana Marina with Fontana Lake are within a 15 to 20 minute drive. Lake Fontana is a large recreational lake with 240 miles of shoreline, a total of 11,685 acres and borders the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. There are free boat launch facilities nearby in addition to boat rentals at Fontana Marina. One free boat launch site nearby is at Cable Cove Recreation Area. Located a short distance off Hwy. 28 North, approximately 20 minutes drive from the cottage. Another one at Lemmons Branch which is located at Tsali Recreation Area off Hwy. 28 South, also approximately 20 minutes drive from the cottage. Fontana Dam at a height of 480 feet is the highest concrete dam east of the Mississippi. Truly a site to behold and the history of its construction is amazing!! The small mountain town of Robbinsville (county seat for Graham County) is 11.5 miles from Hidden Valley Country Cottage where you will find all your basic shopping needs, health care facility, drug store, gas stations, convenience stores and restaurants. Just north of Robbinsville is another pristine lake - Lake Santeetlah. This recreational lake has 76 miles of shoreline and 80% of the land around the lake is managed by the U.S. Forest Service. There are two boat rental facilities on Lake Santeetlah in addition to having several free boat launch facilities should you decide to bring your own boat or jet skis. There are several hiking trails throughout the county including The Appalachian Trail, Lewellyn Cove near Fontana Dam, Twenty Mile off Hwy. 28 in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park & Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest, a virgin timber forest with giant trees over 400 years old. Tsali Recreation Area provides trails for mountain biking and horseback riding. There are several trout streams throughout the area including Snowbird Creek and the Nantahala River. It is recommended that you check with the North Carolina Wildlife Commission for more information on trout stream locations, trout fishing, lake fishing and requirred licenses. For whitewater rafting & kayaking, we are close to the Nantahala River & the Cheoah River for the more experienced with class III & IV+ rapids. (Check dates of water release if you plan to try this river!) For a scenic drive, you don't have to go far. The Cherohala Skyway, a designated National Scenic By-Way is within a 35 to 40 minute drive from the cottage and takes you through mountain wilderness country, traveling to elevations over a mile high (5,280'+). Don't forget the camera and snacks as there aren't any stores on the Cherohala Skyway and there are several scenic overlooks, picnic areas and hiking trails. If you're coming here to ride "The Dragon" on your motorcycle or sports car, it's approximately 20 miles from Country Cottage. On a budget and need a break from the everyday stresses in your life? If you need to cancel your reservation, rent paid and applicable taxes will be refunded less any third party fees if cabin is rerented for same dates. No additional charge for rescheduling reservation dates.
   
• Other Fees: No additional charge for housecleaning after your departure. Rent Rate for 2 nights is $135 per night. Rent Rate for 3 or 4 nights is $120 per night. Rent Rate for 5 nights is $500. Rent Rate for 6 nights is $550.
