Description of the Rockaway Beach vacation home rental

This newly-built, two-story, three bedroom, two-bath home is located in a quiet neighborhood one mile from Rockaway Beach, east of the 101. Our home features a peaceful and serene environment with new appliances, a cozy, efficient kitchen and living room, as well as very comfortable bedrooms all with individualized heating controls. The house is newly furnished with three new queen beds and a futon for additional sleep space ( or a nice relaxing couch). The linens and living room furniture are also new.

Welcome to Rockaway Beach, Oregon, located right off Highway 101, a leisurely 2 hour drive from Portland. The long, sandy beaches at Rockaway Beach are a wonderful respite from the bustling energy of the city. The area is a perfect antidote to the peacefulness you seek when you come to the Oregon Coast.
Our home is five blocks from the beach. When you cross highway 101, the beach is accessible via the public access way at Minnehaha Avenue. Take this avenue West and prepare to have your breath taken away by the sight of the Twin Rocks hugging the shore.
Geographically, we are four miles north of Garibaldi and about 13 miles North of the Tillamook Cheese Factory.
If you decide to cook during your stay, the Fred Meyer Store in Tillamook (about 14 minutes south of the house)has a well-stocked grocery store where you can buy all the foodstuffs you desire. Fred Meyer also has shoes, clothes, and just about anything you might need to enhance your stay.

Be sure to check out the eateries such as The Beach Bite, which serves pretty healthful fare- grilled chicken and turkey burgers, salads, and desserts. The Pirate's Cove is a wondeful place for seafood (it's more of a dinner establishment), and Mazatlan, a Mexican restaurant, has good food as well as an extensive cocktail menu. If you have a craving for ice-cream, an ice-cream/candy shop is a stone's throw from The Beach Bite (on the same side of the street). You can also visit the Tillamook Cheese factory which is open 8am-6pm (please call for Summer hours). The factory is about 15 miles South of our home. When you book our home for your vacation, we'll also send a chamber of commerce calendar of events during your stay. And don't forget to take a steam train ride into Tilamook---Great family fun!

Thanks for letting us use your home. We had a wonderful week. The house was beautiful and very clean, kitchen was very nice just needed some pots and pans, cause I love to cook. Can't wait to come back next year. Thanks again..

My two daughters and 3 granddaughters rented the house and had a great time. We did alot of traveling during the day and then went to the house to relax in the evening. The house is very nice and we would not hesitate to rent it again in the coming years.
