Nice house but poor service

September 6, 2012

We stayed at the house with our son's that are going to school in Portland. It was a nice house although not at all fancy. It was very difficult to get a hold of the owner and toward the end of our stay she never returned my phone calls at all. We had trouble getting into the place on the day we arrived because she didn't tell me where the key was hidden. And it delayed our picking up our son's and made our night very late. Over all even though the house met our needs we will not stay here again.

beach trip

August 27, 2012

Overall we had a very nice stay at this beach house. The living room in particular was very comfortable and we appreciated that the house was stocked with movies and games. The kitchen was also very nice, spacious, and modern. There wer just a few things that could have been better. The kitchen did not have dish washer soap when we arrived so we had to purchase that. A bigger problem was that the instructions as to the location of the lock box were very vague. We had to call the rental company and get in touch with the cleaning lady to find out the location of the lock box. This was a frustrating start to the trip. We were also surprised that there was no cell phone reception at the property and would suggest that this should be stated in the description of the house. Other than that we were quite satisfied.

Wonderful and Nice House

August 19, 2012

Our stay at Puffins Perch this summer was really enjoyable. The house is very close to the beach and it’s really easy to access there. The house is very clean and the layout is fairly nice and it’s really good for one big family or two families. It’s also close to the Pacific Oyster(seafood restaurant/seafood store) and Tillamook Cheese factory and you can get some fresh foods from them. While we were there, the weather was really nice and the temperature was very comfortable. The vacation home rentals was nice site to find the good vacation house. The house I found at first was not available, but they offered the Puffins Perch as alternate so as to meet our needs. As far as I know, other sites didn’t offer proper one ( they recommended inept one).

Very Enjoyable Stay

August 1, 2012

A great little property. There was nice weather when we went so it was nice that it was very close to the beach but not quite on it. We are light sleepers so it was good not to be so close to the noise. The bed was comfortable & the hot tub in the bathroom was awesome. The house had that beach house eclectic charm. The only things I think that could improve this property is that we could not find any fans in the house so it did get fairly warm in the house. The other is that there isn't a good assortment of kitchen staples. We found sugar but nothing like cooking oil, coffee etc. We would have done more cooking at the house but did not want to go out & buy those things. A good assortment of cookware, working coffee pot & toaster however. We would definitely rent this property again.

Great Family Getaway

June 23, 2012

Everything you could ask for!! We were there for the Nehalem Bay Crab Derby with our 4 kids and mother and we had plenty of space for all of us. The wife really enjoyed the LARGE jetted tub in the master bedroom. Really close to the beach and great proximity for the main strip. Rockaway Beach is so relaxing and quiet we love it there. We won a bunch of prizes at the derby and can hardly wait until next year. If you get a chance to stay here we would highly recommend it.

Awesome House

August 23, 2011

We had a great time at this house. Only blocks from the beach and very close to the store/shops. The house is very clean and is even better in person than the pictures portray! Thank you, we had a great time!

Should not be a rental

August 3, 2009

The owner showed up repeatedly once staring at us in the window another Sunday morning while we were showering demanding payment then asked us if our check was going to bounce. This smelly house feels like a mobile home with the kitchen built in the hallway. I would rather stay in a cheap hotel.

Owner Supplied Testimonials

Great place to stay. Close to beach and town. Lots of things to see and do. Loved our stay at the house, had extras like even a outdoor firepit, horseshoes, crochet, bocce ball, etc for outside in yard or at the beach.
