Description of the Rockaway Beach vacation home rental

Beachside Cottage vacation rental has 4 bedrooms, 2 Baths with plenty of room for everyone! A wood stove keeps it warm and cozy when the ocean breezes blow...

There are two bedrooms with queen beds and two bedrooms with 2 twin beds in each. Plus a loveseat sofa sleeper.

There is a living area with TV and DVD player and also an additional TV area upstairs for additional viewing. There are also french doors that lead out to a deck over the back yard. You can sit out and warm yourself to the afternoon sun~

Just behind the house is a private neighborhood path which takes you right out on to the Ocean. It takes 3 minutes to be on the beach. Rockaway Beach has 7 miles of open sandy beaches to walk (or jog) and enjoy. You may even find a seashell or two!

Rockaway Beach has dining, shopping, fishing,kite flying, storm and whale watching, seven miles of sandy beach, events all year long - it's all here and less than 2 hours from Portland, Oregon.

Close to a Great Beach

Clean,well maintained..everything worked and we enjoyed an easy walk to a wonderful beach. Small children,parents and grandparents had fun Thank you! Need a second key, the beds squeak,garbage not cleared. W would like to come again with a little more living space or deck. Heather was very helpful in answering my questions.

Family vacation

Beachside Cottage was a perfect base for our family of three couples plus two babies. We loved the large kitchen table and the living room was large enough for us to crowd around the TV to watch the olympics in the evenings. The backyard was a relaxing place to drink coffee in the morning and play ladderball on the grass in the evening. The beach access path across the back road was very convenient. Our only complaint was the hard mattresses and the squeaky beds, otherwise it was exactly what we were looking for,

Intimate...casual...and homey! The cabin was the perfect choice. It was quiet...and homey. It was so clean and comfy. We felt like spending more time enjoying the cabin then the beach and that must say a lot!

Great family beach retreat

Great home in a great location. Beach is very close by for epic sand castle building and campfires. Be aware that one of the bedrooms is actually more of a loft which is open to the downstairs living room (no privacy). Generally, beds are comfortable, but squeaky. Even though this house is right near the highway and train tracks, it is very quiet. The kitchen is great too -- well stocked with all the cookware and utensils we needed. We had eight people, and we weren't too crowded. It was just right. This house exceeded our expectations. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Amazing Beach Getaway

August 16, 2010

The weather was perfect, the accommodations were clean, comfortable, and user friendly. The kids loved rowing across the lake in the canoe, using the fire-pit to roast s'mores and sitting in the hot tub. Perhaps the best part of the trip was that we were able to take our dog Sport. We were able to spend several days at the Rockaway Beach that was two blocks away as well as spend some time in Seaside putt-putt golfing, riding the bumper cars and playing volleyball. We were also able to catch a wonderful Saturday market on Friday at Manzanita where they had home baked and home grown foods as well as live music. Tillamook was not far either and we were able to stop at the Tillamook Cheese Factory, however, we regretted going on a Saturday because everyone else had the same ideas, so the lines were long. We ended up heading back to Rockaway were there were less crowds and they have Tillamook ice cream cones there at the local ice cream and candy store as well. I highly recommend this wonderful vacation spot. It is a great place to go with your family to make wonderful memories at the beach.

Peaceful and Beautiful

This was a beautiful newer home with all the amenities and was much nicer than I expected. The path to the beach was just as stated and it was just a very short walk from the house. The house sits at teh end of the street so was very quiet and peacful despite its close proximety to the highway. I would highly recommend this home to any family. We intend to stay again next year.
